2、t to runif the engine coolant temperature is high andor the airconditioning is on1 CHECK COOLING SYSTEM FOR LEAKAGECAUTIONTo avoid the danger of being burned do not remove theradiator cap sub-assembly while the engine and radiatorassembly are still hot Thermal expansion will cause hotengine coolant
3、and steam to blow out from the radiatorassemblya Fill the radiator assembly with engine coolant thenattach a radiator cap testerTo avoid the danger of being burned do notb Pump the tester to 137 kPa 14 kgfcm2 199 psi then checkthat the pressure does not dropIf the pressure drops check the hoses radi
4、ator CO assemblyand water pump assembly for leakage If there are no signsor traces of external engine coolant leakage check theheater core cylinder block and headA1065942 INSPECT RESERVOIR TANK ENGINE COOLANTLEVELa The engine coolant should be between the LOWand FULL lines when the engine is coldHIN
5、TIf it is below the LOW line check for leakage and add ToyotaSuper Long Life Coolant or similar high quality ethyleneglycol based non-silicate nonamine non-nitrite andnon-borate coolant with longlife hybrid organic acidtechnology up to the FULL line3 INSPECT ENGINE COOLANT QUALITYa Remove the radiat
6、or cap sub-assemblyCAUTIONremove the radiator cap sub-assembly while theengine and radiator assembly are still hotThermal expansion will cause hot enginecoolant and steam to blow out from the radiator assemblyb Check for excessive deposits of rust or scale aroundthe radiator cap sub-assembly and rad
