Present some sentences on the blackboard. e.g. In order to have more spare time, I need to buy a robot. I got up very early in order to catch the early bus. Tom studied hard. As a result, he
5、got good grades in the exams. The robot did all the housework. As a result, Mr Jiang no longer needed to get up early.2. Ask students a question: “What should we do if we want to have more free time?” Write some of the answers on the blackboard and connect them with “in order to”. 3. Explain to stud
6、ents that “in order to” means “with the purpose of ” and that we can use it to introduce the purpose of an action. It can be used at the beginning or in the middle of the sentences. 4. The same method can be applied to introduce “as a result”. Remind students that we use it to introduce the result o
7、f something. 5. Ask students to read the grammar rules and example sentences at the top of page 30 to the class. Step 3 Practice1. Ask Ss to complete the exercises on P30 in the textbook.2. Check the answers as a whole class. Step 4 Presentation 1. Present some sentences on the blackboard. e.g. In o
