17、as 認(rèn)為某人是,把某人看作Whatever的用法:的用法:一、whatever作連接代詞1、引導(dǎo)名詞性從句(如主語從句、賓語從句、表語從句),相當(dāng)于anything that,意思是“所的任何事情”,在語氣上比what更強(qiáng)。Eg: Whatever she did was right. 她做的一切都是對的2、是用于引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句。相當(dāng)于no matter what,意思是“無論什么,不管什么”,whatever在從句中可作主語、賓語、表語或定語。Eg: Whatever we said, hed disagree. 無論我們說什么,他都不同意。二、whatever用作連接形容詞whatev

18、er用作連接形容詞,作定語,意為“無論什么樣的”;這時它必須與被它修飾的詞一起放在從句前引導(dǎo)從句。如:I can do whatever work I can find. 我可以做我能找到的任何工作。Whatever difficulties we meet, we can get them over. 無論遇到什么困難,我們都能克服。Give me whatever books you have on the subject. 把你有關(guān)這方面的書籍都給我。三、與其類似的whichever,however的用法1. whichever意為“無論哪一個”,在從句中一般用作定語,后面要跟名詞;但在

19、一定語境中,與whichever連用的名詞可省略。You should wear whichever dress suits you best. 什么衣服最適合你穿,你就應(yīng)該穿它。2. however意為“無論怎樣;不管怎樣”,一般在從句中用作狀語,修飾動詞、形容詞或副詞;此外,含however的從句常常用作讓步狀語。She could not remember, however hard she tried. 不管她怎么努力去回想,她還是記不起來。四、whatever與no matter whatno matter what只能用來引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句,但whatever既可引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句,又

20、可引導(dǎo)名詞性從句。如:Dont trust him, no matter what/whatever he says. 不管他說什么都別相信他五、whatever還可用于加強(qiáng)語氣,相當(dāng)于what ever, what on earth等。Whatever / What ever is the matter? 這是怎么回事?and whatever “等等”1_hungry I am, I never seem to be able to finish off this loaf of bread.
