Anothercaseworthymentioningismydesignprojectforgraduation,“ManufacturingandPerformanceofElectroplatedCBNTools〞。ThemainobjectiveofthisprojectisthemanufacturingoftheelectroplatedCBN(CubicBoronNitride)wheelsandtheresearchofitsperformancewhengrindingtheheat-resistedsteel.Ihadcompletedthreestepsoftask.Firstly,ItookchargeofthemanufacturingofelectroplatedCBNwheels,coveringthefollowingwork:selectingelectroplatingsolution,computingvariouselectroplatingparameterssuchaselectricalcurrentandtemperature,adheringCBNtothetoolbasebyelectroplatinganickellayer.Afterthesebasicpreparations,IhadtodothesecondpartoftheresearchworktocomparegrindingabilitiesofelectroplatedCBNwheelswiththoseofotherwheelssuchasSiCwheels,Al2O3wheelsetc.Thispartoftheworkneedstheresearcher’shighlyparticularityandstaidness.Ididthedetailedworkasfollows:(1)Grindheat-resistedsteelwithvariouswheelsinthesamegrindingconditions.(2)Recorddataandcomputethegrindingratioofvariouswheels.(3)Measurethesurfaceroughnessoftheheat-resistedsteelgroundbyvariouswheels.(4)Observedullingandpulloutofabrasivegrainsofvariouswheelsbyusingopticalmicroscope.Inthispart,wecanconcludethatelectroplatedwheelshavefarbettergrindingabilitiesthanotherwheels,bycomparingparameters,suchasgrindingratio,surfaceroughnessetc.Thefinalassignmentoftheprojectistofindoutthemostsuitableparametersofgrindingheat-resistedsteelwithelectroplatedCBNwheels,throughcomparingthegrindingratioandsurfaceroughnessofheat-resistedsteelgroundindifferentgrindingparameters.ByinvestigatingtheattributesofelectroplatedCBNwheelsandconcludingtheirpracticalgrindingparameters,thisprojectisveryimportantinpromotingtheapplicationofthem.
