Goodafternoon!TodayIwouldliketotalkabouttheimportanceofkeepingoptimistic.Whenweencounterdifficultiesinlife,wenoticethatsomeofuschoosetoburytheirheadsinthesand.Unfortunately,however,thisattitudewilldoyounogood,becauseifyouwillhavenocourageeventofacethem,howcanyouconquerthemThus,beoptimistic,ladiesandgentlemen,asitcangiveyouconfidenceandhelpyouseeyourselfthroughthehardtimes,justasWinstonChurchilloncesaid,“Anoptimistseesanopportunityineverycalamity;apessimistseesacalamityineveryopportunity.”

LadiesandGentlemen,keepingoptimistic,youwillbeabletorealize,inspiteofsomehardship,there’salwayshopewaitingforyou,whichwillleadyoutotheultimatesuccess.Historicallyaswellascurrently,therearetoomanyoptimistsofthiskindtoenumerate.Yousee,ThomasEdisonisoptimistic;ifnot,thelightofhopeinhisheartcouldnotilluminatethewholeworld.AlfredNobelisoptimistic;ifnot,theexplosivesandtheprestigiousNobelPrizewouldnothavecomeintobeing.AndLanceArmstrongisalsooptimistic;ifnot,thedevilofcancerwouldhavedevouredhislifeandtheworldwouldnotseea5-timewinneroftheTourDeFrance.

Recently,Ihaveseenanimpressivefilm–Precious,whichtellsthegrowingexperiencesaboutaprettyfatblackgirl,PreciousJones,agirllivingintheHarlem.ThefilmrevealsthepoorandmiserablelifeintheHarlem,butatthesametime,itencouragespeopletotakeapositiveandoptimisticattitudetofaceit,nomatterhowdifficultitis.

最近,我看了一部印象深刻的電影——《珍愛(ài)》。這部電影講述的是一個(gè)生活在哈勒姆區(qū)的美麗胖女孩珍愛(ài)瓊斯的成長(zhǎng)經(jīng)歷。它揭露了哈勒姆區(qū)貧窮痛苦的生活,但是,它也同時(shí)鼓勵(lì)了人們不管遇到什么樣的困難都要以積極樂(lè)觀的態(tài)度去面對(duì)生活。

Preciousissoundereducatedthatshecannotreadandwriteformally.What’sworse,sheisusuallyknockedaroundbyherirasciblemother.Worstofall,sheissexuallyassaultedbyherstepfatherandhastwochildrenbeforetheageofseventeen.Owingtothesituationshegetsinvolved,shehastoleaveschoolandisintroducedtoalternativeschool.Afterwagingmanystrugglesandovercomingmanydifficulties,shefindsthegoalsoflifeagainwiththehelpofherteacherandclassmates.

在電影中,盡管遇到很多困難,珍愛(ài)仍然堅(jiān)持撫養(yǎng)她的孩子。她堅(jiān)信她能夠擺脫過(guò)去的生活有全新的開始,最終她做到了。她的堅(jiān)持告訴我們,保持積極樂(lè)觀有助于實(shí)現(xiàn)夢(mèng)想。
