Beingamaturestudentdoesnotmeanbeinganold-timer.Matureisnotmeasuredbythenumberofyearsapersonhaslived.Instead,theyyardstickofmaturityismarkedbythequalitiesofself-denial,determination,anddependability.

做一個成熟的學生并不意味著成為一個老前輩。成熟不是用一個人生活的年限來衡量的。相反,成熟的標準應該用自我否定,決心和可靠性等品質(zhì)來衡量。

Self-denialisanimportantqualityofamaturestudent.Theword"Self-denial"meansrestrainingbeingstrictwithoneself.Sometimes,peopledefineitasself-disciplinewhichhasabiaspassivemeaning.Self-denialisnotmakingalotofrulesandregulationstolayeruponlayertomanacleoneself,butwiththeautonomicactiontocreateanorderforourstudylife.Wealwayshavegreatdreams,havemagnificentidealsandhavegrandprospects;however,theyareoftenpostponedorevenvanishedbyourselvesduetothelackofself-denial.Weshouldputourideasintopractice.Besides,self-denialalsomeansdenyingyourselfandcontrollingyourimpulses.Nobodyisperfect.Facedwithmistakes,weshouldtakemeasurestomodifyitandneverbehaveimpulsively.
