流行病探因Anepidemicisthenamegiventoaninfectiousdiseasethatrapidlyspreadstoalargenumberofpeoplewithinashortperiodoftime—usuallytwoweeksorless.EpidemicshavebeenhappeningforaslongastherehavebeenpeoplelivingonEarth.Theycanbecausedbyseveraldifferentfactors,suchasavirusbeingcarriedintoanarea,orchangesinthewaypeoplelive,likemorepeoplelivinginanarea,whichincreasesthechancesofthemcomingintocontactwithabacteriaorvirus.
