Duringthesummervacation,IborrowedabookcalledDavidCopperfieldfromthelibrary.Ispenttendaysreadingit.ItissaidthatDavidCopperfieldisoneofthemostfamousmasterpiecesofCharlesDickens.Dickensoncesaid:“amongallmyworks,DavidCopperfieldwasmyfavorite.”ThemaincharacterDavidCopperfield’sfatherdiedbeforehewasborn.Hehadahappychildhoodbeforehisninthbirthday.Whenhewaseight,hewaswarmlyinvitedtoPigsty’shouse.There,hespentafreeholidayandmadesomenewfriends.Actually,itwashislasthappytimeinhischildhood.Whenhereturnedhome,hefoundthathislifehadcompletelychanged.HismotherhadbeenmarriedtoMr.Murdstone,asternmanwiththecoldestheartintheworld.Hedidn’tlikeDavidatallandpoorDavidwasforcedtobesenttoaworstboardingschool.,wherestudentsweretreatedviolently.Hehadtoworkinthelaboratoryofhisstepfatherwhenhewasonlytenyearsold!Hisworktherewasdirty,tiringandboring.WhenDavid’sweakmotherfinallylefthim,hefeltasifhehadbeenanorphanintheworld.ItwasthehardesttimeinDavid’slifebuthenevergaveup.Davidranawaytohisauntforshelter,Luckily,AuntBetsayagreedtohelpDavidandfromthenon,David’sdarkesttimeended.andbegunhisadventureofanewlife.Throughsomanydifficulties,Davidgrewtobestrongenoughtosolveproblemsandhadhisownhappyending.Hefellinlovewithaprettyyounglady,Dora,andmarriedherMeanwhileCopperfieldbecameafamouswriterforlivingandalsoforhislong-lastingdream.Butthenanothertragedyhappened--Doradiedforshewastooweakforababy.CopperfieldwassostrickenthathedecidedtoleaveLondonandmovetoafarawayandsilentplace,wherehecontinuedhiswritingforthreeyears.Duringtheperiod,hekeptintouchwithAgnes,andhisdeeploveonAgnesgotclearereveryday.Afterhefinishedhisbook,hewentbacktoLondonwithaclearideaofwhatheshoulddo.HeproposedmarriagewithAgnes,whowassohappyforshehadbeeninlovewithhimforsomanyyears.Theygotmarriedandlivedhappilyeversince.DavidCopperfield’lifewasalwaystoughwhilehewasalwaysstrugglingforhisfreedomandhishappinesswithhishard-bittenheart.HeexperiencedboththedarkandbrightsightofthesocietyatthesametimeWhenIfinishedreadingit,Irealizedthereispowerrisingfromthebottomofmyheart.ThepowertoldmethatIshouldstudyhard.Nomatterhowharditis!weshouldnevergiveup.weallshouldfightagainstthegraythingsinourlife.Finally,Idrewaconclusion.Firstly,ImustbelieveinmyselfifIwanttosucceed.Secondly,tryingmybesttodothingsisalsoveryimportant.Ifyouhavegreatdreams,butyoudon’tmakeeffortstorealizeit,youwon’tbesuccessful.Nevergiveup!Davidhassetagoodexampleforus.MaybewecanlearnsomethingfromCopperfield!(588詞)
