在比較級中,我們若比較兩者間數量的多少,可用more…than,表示“比……多”,more可修飾可數或不可數名詞。用fewer…than表示“比……少”,fewer修飾可數名詞,less(little的比級)…than表示“比……少”,less修飾不可數名詞。

注意(1):最高級前的定冠詞the不能被省略,比較前一般不用the,但若形容詞比較級用于表示比較級范圍的介詞of短語前,則這個比較級已經相當于一個名詞,因此該比較級也要用定冠詞the。
