effective.Itreferstothemajorand/oreffectivereasonthathascausedtheaccident.Theproximatecauseisnotnecessarilythefirstcauseorthelastcause.7.2.5TheSubrogationPrinciplePursuanttothecontractlawofPRC:whereanythirdpartyisliablefortheinsuredproperty,theinsurermayindemnifytheinsuredaccordingtotheinsurancepolicy,buttheinsuredshalltransfertherightofrecoursetotheinsurerandassisttheinsurertorecoursetothethirdparty.7.2.6TheSharePrincipleUnderthecircumstanceofdoubleinsurance,allthemastersshallbearthelossonthesubjectmatterjointlyandsharethelossaccordingtotheirrespectiveinsuranceproportion.Whenanindividualhasdoubleinsurance,hehastheriskscoveredbytwodifferentinsurancecompaniesupontheidenticalinterestintheidentic-alsubjectmatter.7.3MarineRisksandLossesMarineRisksMarineLossesExpensesIncurred7.3.1MarineRisksPerilsoftheSeaPerilsoftheseaincludebothnaturalcalamitiesandfortuitousorunexpectedaccidents.ExtraneousRisks
