16、從句 c. so many /few +可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù) +that 從句 d. so much/little(少) +不可數(shù)名詞 +that 從句 他是個(gè)聰明的男孩, 以至于他經(jīng)常自己做玩具。 He is such a clever boy that he often makes toys himself. =He is so clever a boy that he often makes toys himself. so that : 1) “以便”, 引起目的狀語從句, 從句謂語常包含can, could, may, might等情態(tài)動(dòng)詞, 若從句是否定句還可以用should. 他調(diào)大收音
17、機(jī)的音量, 以便所有人能聽到這個(gè)消息。 He turned up the radio, so that everyone could hear the news. (此處可用in order that替代.) 2) “結(jié)果”, 引起結(jié)果狀語從句,從句謂語不包含情態(tài)動(dòng)詞。 他調(diào)大收音機(jī)的音量, 結(jié)果所有人聽到了那個(gè)消息。 He turned up the radio, so that everyone heard the news. Join the two sentences by using sothat, so that 1.It was cold yesterday. I had to
