3、 and eplained that if peple really understd that their behavir was wrng then they simply wuldnt d it by definitin. unfrtunately, hnesty in the western traditin has been marginalized t specific instances perhaps because a thrugh understanding f hnesty cllides with idelgies f all types. idelgies and i
4、dealism ften eaggerate and supPss evidence in rder t supprt their perspectives at the epense f the truth. this prcess erdes the practice and understanding f hnesty. t an idelgist the truth quite ften becmes insignificant, what matters mst are their ideals and what ever supprts their desires t enjy a

6、al sciety. bth hnesty and mrality require that we base ur pinins abut what is gd upn unbiased ideas f what is true rather than vice versa (determining what is true based n what we feel is gd) the way all idelgies wuld have us believe.It is true that mst f us value hnesty highly. 7、ten cnfrnt cnfidence crisis such as cheating, vercharging, fake cmmdities and s n. I think that we shuld be hnest because being hnest is nt nly beneficial t urselves but als t thers and the whle sciety. The reasns can be listed as fllws.Firstly, nly hnest peple can be truly respected by the thers an
8、d can make mre friends ver a lng perid f time.Secndly, hnesty, which is the traditinal virtue f the Chinese peple, can make ur life easier and mre harmnius. Thirdly, hnesty can make ur sciety mre stable. A case in pint is that Singapre, a sciety featuring trustwrthiness and integrity, has a cmparati
