1、如何關注英語教參中的教學提示和文化現象? 初中英語教參中的教學提示和文化重點往往被老師們忽視。但如果細讀,會學到不少知識。比如:1. Letter grids and stroke order其釋意:It is important for Ss to know which lines the strokes of each letter touch. This will help Ss form letters that are of the correct size and shape. Before writing each letter, the T can point to each
2、of the writing lines and elicit from Ss where to begin writing.Ss must also learn the correct stroke order for each letter so that they can later develop cursive writing (joined-up writing). The T can help Ss remember the correct stroke order by chanting verbal instructions for each stroke.“A” T: 1.

4、achers cant always bring things to the classroom. You can use the items in the classroom to avoid hard preparation work. (利用教室里原有的東本,就地取材,減少教師繁重的準備工作。)3Speech shadowingInstead of having Ss listen and then repeat, Teachers can introduce Ss to speech shadowing. Just as someones shadow follows closely
5、behind them, in speech shadowing Ss try to shadow what the speaker is saying almost at the same time as it is being said. As such, Ss do not wait for the speaker to finish a sentence before repeating.其意:言語掩蔽Teachers can listen to the students pronunciation and find out whether they are concentrated

11、團結協作。7Eye contactAfter Ss have practiced a conversation, encourage them to depend less on the textbook and to establish eye contact with a partner while they are speaking and listening. 12、h others eyes when talking is good manners. (交談時,眼神專注是一種禮貌。)8. Gender focusStudents should be encouraged to pay attention to gender when matching names and pictures. However, some names can be both male and female, e.g. Chris, which is a short form of Christopher (male) and Christine (female). Also,
13、 some names may be spelled differently even though they are pronounced the same, such as Tony (usually male) and Toni (female)其意:性別關注Before speaking, think of genders in order not to make jokes.(說話之前弄清性別,少鬧笑話)9Addressing Extended FamilyIn the US, your fathers brother and your mothers brother are bot
14、h known as “uncle”. You fathers sister and your mothers sister are both known as “aunt”. To differentiate aunts and uncles, the first name is added (e.g. Aunt Sally or Uncle Jack). The word “aunt” is also a form of address. It is normal to say “Hi, Aunt Sally.” In the US, your aunts and uncles child
15、ren are your cousins. The word “cousin” is not a form of address. Parents and Ss may be required to sign this to acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to follow the school rules. Usually there is information about what Ss can and cant do in different school situations. This might include rules about using technology (when and where Ss can use mobile phones, mp3 players, or laptops) or rules about how to dress (what the appropriate school
