2、 get the main idea of this story. Wilf took a tent round to Chips house, and they wanted to practise survival skills. Biff took an umbrella to help them, but boys didnt like to take it. Then The magic took children back to a wood, and they met Amy and Fox who were lost in the wood. Then they helped

3、each other to go through different dangers. Finally, the Indians helped them to find Amys family and they went on to westward. 7、個(gè)故事。要求學(xué)生課前反復(fù)聽錄音跟讀。三、教師要求1. 教師課前須熟讀故事，了解故事內(nèi)容。2. 對于較難的單詞，教師可板書，并配合動(dòng)作和表情幫助學(xué)生理解。3. 全英文授課。四、教學(xué)用具多媒體設(shè)備、課件。五、課堂教學(xué)基本步驟1. 導(dǎo)入（Lead-in）：觀看視頻，了解美國西進(jìn)運(yùn)動(dòng)的背景，導(dǎo)入故事情景通過播放視頻An Introduction to Westward Expansion，讓學(xué)生簡單了解美國歷史上的西進(jìn)運(yùn)動(dòng)。（1）教師簡單介紹并播放視頻（見課件）：The Westward Expansion took almost the whole 19th century. American be

8、lieved their country would stretch from sea (Atlantic) to sea (Pacific). Many immigrants put all their belongings in a wagon and moved to the Wild West. They faced a lot of dangers and hardship, such as wild animals, Indian attacks, criminals and outlaws, etc. The pioneer spirit is a very important

9、factor in American culture. Now I am going to play a slideshow and lets have a brief look at the Westward Expansion. （2）視頻結(jié)束后，與學(xué)生互動(dòng)，自然過渡到講故事環(huán)節(jié)：Was it easy or difficult for the immigrants to move west? Why?Todays adventure would happen at that time. Who were taken into the magic adventure? What happe

Lets learn the story Survival Adventure.2. 看圖講故事（Storytelling）：了解故事背景 教師利用課件選取播放故事前4幅圖片，并用豐富的表情、生動(dòng)的英文和適當(dāng)?shù)闹w語言給學(xué)生繪聲繪色地講故事，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生觀察圖片，了解故事背景。（Picture 1） Look at the picture. What did Chip and Wilf do? They set up a tent to sleep in.But Chip had never slept in a tent. “It will be fun, but we

11、 will need a survival kit.” said Wilf.（Picture 2） What did Wilf have in his rucksack? Wilf got a torch, a ball of string, a plastic sheet, some chocolate and a first aid box.Chip got a mirror, a pencil and notebook and a bag of crisps.Biff came out with a big umbrella. She thought they might need th

12、is, but Wilf thought it was silly.（Picture 3） Unfortunately, it rained hard that evening. Chip and Wilf had to camp on Chips bedroom floor.“You wont need a survival kit here,” said Biff.（Picture 4） Suddenly, the magic key began to glow. The adventure began.Biff took the umbrella with her, but Chip s

What would happen?3. 朗讀故事（Reading Dramatically）：學(xué)會繪聲繪色地朗讀故事，朗讀與理解相結(jié)合 承接講故事環(huán)節(jié)，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生帶著問題去朗讀，幫助學(xué)生理解故事，抓住故事主要情節(jié)。朗讀時(shí)，教師要提醒學(xué)生注意Biff的傘在冒險(xiǎn)中起到了什么作用。（1）學(xué)生分角色朗讀圖片5-15，然后回答以下問題：What happened to Amys family?Why did Amy go away from her family?What happened to her? Wh

14、o did she meet?（2）請學(xué)生接龍朗讀圖片16-21，然后回答以下問題：How was Amy out of the trap?How did Biff frighten the bear away?（3）請學(xué)生分組朗讀圖片22-24，然后回答以下問題：How did the wagon train get out?Why did Biff give the umbrella to Little Fox?在朗讀過程中，教師要對朗讀有困難或有問題的學(xué)生給予指導(dǎo)和示范。如果學(xué)生課前預(yù)習(xí)效果不好，教師需在課上適當(dāng)安排聽錄音模仿環(huán)節(jié)。4. 討論（Discussion）：遇變不慌，學(xué)會動(dòng)腦筋解決問題教師利用PPT展示問題，讓學(xué)生分組討論，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生思考面對問題時(shí)多思考解決問題的辦法。之后，請小組代表作答。問題可參考：What would you do if you met a bear?What do you think of the Indian life, for example, looking for honey, fighting bears, catching fish, maki
