2、 United States Foreign Service. Currently I work at the _Institute (_I), a think tank in New York devoted to international policy formulation and analysis that enjoys a uniquely close relationship with the United Nations nearby. While here, I have had the exceptional opportunity to observe extensive
3、 policy debate and analysis involving many academic experts and diplomats, which has in turn played an instrumental role in nurturing an avid interest of my own in the topics of peace building and development. It is my intention that through studies at your institution I will develop the necessary s
4、kills to identify and analyze the same sort of key issues that have piqued my interest whilst at this organization. Equipped with this knowledge, I fully intend to become involved in these processes, either through work connected to UN initiatives or in a similar position at an affiliated nongovernm
5、ental organization. As an employee at _I, Ive regularly made connections between my past experiences and the topics would I read about in the organizations publications and learned about at its numerous events. With a specific focus on regions of conflict, I became immediately captivated by their an
6、alysis of the various challenges in conflict resolution, creating sustainable reconciliation and the dilemmas in building legitimate states through outside intervention. As human rights are amongst the primary motivations for these efforts, I was impressed by the similarity to my own objectives as a
7、 Red Cross volunteer during the Hurricane Katrina relief effort and my undergraduate studies in the economics of poverty prior. Having worked at a shelter providing full time assistance to programs helping to assimilate back into society those displaced by the aforementioned disaster, I was driven b
8、y the inclination of opinion that without such help the victims would be far less likely to enjoy a normal opportunity to live by the same standards as those who happened to be more fortunate. Similarly, the notion that poverty represents a denial of empowerment to those afflicted served as a basis
9、for my academic focus in University, specifically in regards to the mixed effects of NAFTA in Northern Mexico and the connections between wealth disparity and the arising of political conflict in the Middle East and Asia. Viewing topics on a worldwide scale has appealed to me since childhood, being
10、raised in Belgium, Greece and Morocco due to my fathers assignments as a foreign affairs officer and my mothers background as a Syrian. These experiences have developed within me an understanding of the importance of critical approaches toward cultural differences, especially in how they serve as a
11、basis for certain viewpoints on issues. As a result I naturally became very interested in politics at a young age, which I put to practice in High School and University through extracurricular political leadership activities. Although admittedly in hindsight I might have been over-involved when in U
12、niversity, co-founding two organizations in my first year alone, mentoring and getting elected to several of the highest positions and committees in the student government, my work in the end proved extremely rewarding, earning high esteem from faculty and peers and culminating in awards for outstan
13、ding achievement. Some years from now I would like to see myself working towards the establishment of sustainable governance and development in regions emerging from conflict. Your institutions courses in Conflict Studies and Humanitarian Intervention in particular would be very relevant to this obj
14、ective, providing me with the necessary knowledge and skills I would need to best understand and analyze the key issues inherent in this field. Pursuing my masters degree at your institution would be an invaluable experience as I aim to comprehend the causes and nature of crisis and conflict and the

Yours sincerely, 法國(guó)留學(xué)申請(qǐng)誤區(qū)解讀 一、轉(zhuǎn)專業(yè)很容易 大多數(shù)學(xué)生在申請(qǐng)階段,會(huì)更加注重學(xué)校,在選擇的時(shí)候,會(huì)將專業(yè)的選擇放在后面,畢竟專業(yè)不合適進(jìn)行轉(zhuǎn)換,要比學(xué)校不合適進(jìn)行轉(zhuǎn)換要簡(jiǎn)單一些。 但是大家要注意的是,法國(guó)的高校對(duì)于學(xué)生的轉(zhuǎn)專業(yè)申請(qǐng)的審核,是特別嚴(yán)格的,大家如果想要進(jìn)行申請(qǐng),需要在本專業(yè)表現(xiàn)特別不錯(cuò),這樣才能證明你的學(xué)習(xí)能力。 二、公立大學(xué)畢
16、業(yè)很簡(jiǎn)單 在法國(guó)的學(xué)校留學(xué),沒有哪一所學(xué)校的畢業(yè)是簡(jiǎn)單的,因?yàn)閷W(xué)校實(shí)行的,都是寬進(jìn)嚴(yán)出的政策,如果沒有達(dá)到畢業(yè)的要求,那么大家就只能繼續(xù)讀下去。 所以大家不要想著進(jìn)了公立的大學(xué),就萬(wàn)事大吉了,還是需要努力學(xué)習(xí),這樣才能夠取得比較好的成績(jī),而且順利的畢業(yè),進(jìn)而完成整個(gè)留學(xué)。 三、預(yù)科和語(yǔ)言班是一回事 幾乎所有申請(qǐng)法國(guó)高校的學(xué)生,都需要在正式入學(xué)前,經(jīng)受一個(gè)緩沖階段的學(xué)習(xí),有可能是語(yǔ)言的培訓(xùn),也有可能是專業(yè)的熟悉,這其中就有了預(yù)科和語(yǔ)言班的區(qū)分。 大家要去分清楚他們之間的差異,語(yǔ)言班股民私立是針對(duì)語(yǔ)言的培訓(xùn);而預(yù)科則是專業(yè)的培訓(xùn),其中也會(huì)有語(yǔ)言的教學(xué),但是重心還是放在專業(yè)上。 四、選英語(yǔ)授課不需要
17、學(xué)法語(yǔ) 英語(yǔ)授課如今在不少法國(guó)搞笑的專業(yè)中都有開設(shè),但是即便大家選擇了英語(yǔ)的授課,也是不能夠忽視法語(yǔ)的學(xué)習(xí)的,因?yàn)槿粘I钸€是需要接觸法語(yǔ)的。 并且大家脫離了課堂以后,和同學(xué)、教授的交流,還是會(huì)以法語(yǔ)為主,更何況,多學(xué)習(xí)一門語(yǔ)言,對(duì)大家的優(yōu)勢(shì)是特別大的。 法國(guó)留學(xué)兼職指南 一、資格限制 在讀的學(xué)生需要在相關(guān)機(jī)構(gòu)進(jìn)行了正式的學(xué)生注冊(cè),而且遵照要求購(gòu)買了學(xué)生保險(xiǎn),還需要申請(qǐng)APT的許可證,而且保證自己沒有遞交任何獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的申請(qǐng)。 政策規(guī)定兼職工作的時(shí)間,每周不能夠超過20個(gè)小時(shí),并且明確入職需要簽訂雇傭的合同,大家可以將自己的工作時(shí)間進(jìn)行累積,這樣可以在寒暑假?gòu)氖氯毜拿刻彀诵r(shí)的工作。 二、工作種
18、類 學(xué)生一開始能夠做的工作,大都是集中在服務(wù)業(yè)和體力勞動(dòng)的方面,后續(xù)大家學(xué)習(xí)到的技能增進(jìn),可以考慮和自己的專業(yè)關(guān)聯(lián)度比較高的工作,既能賺錢,又可以鍛煉自己。 1.零售業(yè) 主要是商店和超市內(nèi)的收銀員和導(dǎo)購(gòu)的崗位,這些工作對(duì)沒有什么專業(yè)技能的要求,并且也其他的限制也比較低,只要求法語(yǔ)或者英語(yǔ)水平能夠進(jìn)行簡(jiǎn)單的對(duì)話,兼職的月薪在500歐左右。 2.餐飲業(yè) 這個(gè)行業(yè)對(duì)于員工的需求量也是特別大的,并且提供的崗位也特別多,不過大部分都是體力方面的勞動(dòng),囊括服務(wù)生、傳菜員、洗碗工、清潔工等,對(duì)噠記得體力要求是比較高的。 3.季節(jié)工 還有一個(gè)就是季節(jié)性比較強(qiáng)的工作,每年只有幾個(gè)月的時(shí)間需求量比較大,其他時(shí)間是休息狀態(tài),囊括農(nóng)場(chǎng)內(nèi)的干農(nóng)活、在旅游區(qū)當(dāng)導(dǎo)游,或者去酒店工作,旺季的時(shí)候薪資還是可觀的。 三、薪資保障 兼職的學(xué)生和全職的員工享受一樣的社會(huì)福利,休息的安置、用餐的時(shí)間等,都是按全職來(lái)算的,并且還有最低的工資保障,時(shí)薪不能夠低于9.4歐。 當(dāng)然大家的薪水還需要進(jìn)行繳稅,類似于我國(guó)的五險(xiǎn)一金,但是以具體的項(xiàng)目是有差異的,不過學(xué)生兼職,可以集中進(jìn)行報(bào)稅,可以將交的稅拿回來(lái)。 法國(guó)留學(xué)新生指導(dǎo)手冊(cè) 一、簽住房合同 要盡快的將自己的住宿安置好,因?yàn)楹罄m(xù)要辦的很多事,都是需要調(diào)自己的住宿證明,或
