My background is especially strong in physical anthropology, my primary field of interest. Physical anthropology consumes my life; I do

2、 not study it because I find it somewhat interesting but because I am devoted to it; I want to make it my life. In addition to maintaining a high GPA throughout my college career, and making the Deans list several times, I have also worked hard as a supervisor at Brooks Pharmacy for the past five ye

Working my own way through college not only demonstrates my determination to gaining a high quality education and the seriousness with which I treat academics, but also attests to my leadership ability, maturity, and responsibility, both as a supervisor and as a student at the University of Rho

4、de Island. My primary goal in applying to your graduate program is to prepare myself for a career in forensic anthropology. Interested in furthering the current body of research and in improving techniques used in the identification of human remains, I am very committed to pursuing forensic anthropo

5、logy and believe your graduate program in anthropology will provide me with an excellent foundation in the area of physical and forensic anthropology. As a sophomore at the University of Rhode Island, I designed a research project entitled Grooming and Affiliative Behavior in Thre

9、e Species of Non-Human Primates under the guidance of Dr. Su Boatright Horowitz in the Psychology Department at URI. My research proposal gained approval from the Institutional Care and Use Committee at URI and at the Roger William Park and Zoo where the three species of non-human primates (Gibbons,

10、 Sakis, and Lemurs) included in my study are kept. In addition to writing a successful research proposal, I also wrote and received a small funds grant from the University of Rhode Island in order to conduct my research. By being intimately involved in every aspect of research, from proposal and gra

11、nt writing to data collection and analysis, I have learned what it takes to be a researcher, but more than that, I have learned how fulfilling and interesting research can be. In the spring of 2022, I will be presenting my results at a poster presentation at the University of Rhode Island, and am pl

12、anning to eventually publish my findings. Not only has this experience shown me that I am capable of excelling in conducting research, but it has also allowed me to develop a love for the hands on learning that is so crucial to successful research. In my final semester at URI, I will be participatin

13、g in an ongoing research project concerning brain function and attention span under the direction of Dr. Dominic Valentino, a professor in the psychology department at URI. This project will undoubtedly further advance my academic skills and reinforce my passion for research. Physical anthropology i

The questions posed and answered via the study of physical anthropology have fascinated me for a very long time and have stimulated me to ask and seek to answer further questions. 16、to the university as well. 日本留學(xué)獎學(xué)金項目介紹 一、日本政府獎學(xué)金 1.文部科學(xué)省獎學(xué)金 文部科學(xué)省獎學(xué)金設(shè)有七種類別，分別對學(xué)生的國籍、年齡、專業(yè)、學(xué)歷等有一定的要求。 該獎學(xué)金的申請途徑一般是通過日本的駐外使(領(lǐng))館，或通過日本的大學(xué)這兩條途徑申請。 2.留學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)獎勵費 這是由文部科學(xué)省與日本國際教育協(xié)會合作，為自費外國留學(xué)生提供“自費外國留學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)獎勵費”。 獎勵費額度：大學(xué)(含別科)的在籍學(xué)生每月52000日元，大學(xué)院生每月73000日元。 留學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)獎勵費的申請方法一般都是通過在籍的學(xué)校進行申請，具體申請辦法必須向?qū)W校詢問清楚。 二、日本國際教育協(xié)會獎

17、學(xué)金 這是民間企業(yè)和個人通過日本教育振興協(xié)會為留學(xué)生發(fā)放的獎學(xué)金，獎學(xué)金額度為每月80000至200000日元不等，具體申請辦法可向日本國際教育協(xié)會詢問。 三、地方政府及國際交流團體獎學(xué)金 這是日本地方政府及國際交流團體為居住在當?shù)鼗蛟诋數(shù)卮髮W(xué)學(xué)習(xí)的留學(xué)生設(shè)立的獎學(xué)金。 獎學(xué)金發(fā)放形式多樣，除了支付一定的日本留學(xué)學(xué)費、生活費外，還有住宿補助、國民健康保險補助、交通費補助等，此類獎學(xué)金也可在日本境外申請，申請辦法需向所在學(xué)校詢問清楚。 四、民間團體獎學(xué)金 這是日本的民間企業(yè)或民間團體為留學(xué)生發(fā)放的獎學(xué)金。 根據(jù)各企業(yè)和團體的業(yè)務(wù)內(nèi)容和工作性質(zhì)對發(fā)放的對象要求各不相同，有的以團體和企業(yè)所在學(xué)校的留

18、學(xué)生為對象，有的限定與企業(yè)有關(guān)的研究領(lǐng)域或與企業(yè)有交流的國家和地區(qū)的留學(xué)生。 此類獎學(xué)金的具體發(fā)放辦法可向日本國際教育協(xié)會或所在學(xué)校詢問清楚。 五、日本學(xué)校獎學(xué)金 日本的有些學(xué)校為在該校學(xué)習(xí)的留學(xué)生發(fā)放獎學(xué)金。 日本留學(xué)語言學(xué)校申請要求 一、申請條件 首先是學(xué)術(shù)的要求，學(xué)生必須要出示合格的日語等級證書，或者提供日語學(xué)習(xí)的證明;然后還需要有充足的資金支出，需要出示保證金，保證學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)和生活。 最后還要滿足語言的要求，語言學(xué)校不招收超過30歲的申請者，即畢業(yè)超過五年的學(xué)生。年齡越大，申請的成功率會越低，大家需要考慮到這方面的要求。 二、入學(xué)時間 入學(xué)的時間可選擇的空間也會比較大，四月和十月是主要的入學(xué)時間段，一方面是可參加留考的機會多，有四次報名機會，另一方面就是專業(yè)入學(xué)時間銜接度好。 此外還有一月和七月作為補充入學(xué)的時間，如果大家得準備沒有做充分，趕不上四月和十月入學(xué)，那么還可以選擇這兩個時間，可以避免浪費時間。 三、留學(xué)費用 在申請階段，大家需要
