First , let the students read the new words together.Then ask some Individuals to read the sentences.Step 2 presentation of the new sentence(how long have you been donging something?)Ready:Draw a long horuzontal line across the board .tell the students thi

8、s is called a time line .it shows the years from 2000-to the present2010. let us put some information about ourselves on the time line .Intruduce myself 1、I am a young teacher .I started to teach English in 2009(write the words teacher started to teach english above the date 1997 on the time line),

9、In this unite we are going to talk about how long we have been doing things, You can ask the teacher:How long have you been teaching English ?I have been teaching English for3 years(pointto the starting date and run your finget along the years up to the present year) or I have been teaching Englishs

11、 is your hobby,how long have you been doing Step 3 Grammar focus1、“How long have you been doing ”this is main focus in this class ,new centence ,new grammar,called the Present Perfect Progressive Tense. Ask What is the difference between “How long did you do something ?”and “How long have you been d

12、oing ?” .Explain that “did” question means that the person has stopped doing the action .The “have you been” question shows that the person is continuing to do the action at the present moment .2、Explain the “since ”“and for”based on the above example, we can find that in these sentences “since” com
