17、m 2005.The previous mainstay for marriagethe group aged between 20 and 24, however, saw a sharp decrease to 19.7 percent of the total newlyweds in 2019. The group accounted for almost half of all newlyweds back in 2005, at about 47 percent.Except for unaffordable housing prices and high education co
18、sts, the younger generations stronger sense of independence has also dampened their enthusiasm for marriage.A report by online matchmaking agency Zhenai in May showed that finding _hard to fall in love, having high standards for potential partners and having an unsociable character were the three ma
19、jor reasons that so many remained single.However, the nations younger generation is far from discouraged. The report said that nearly 80 percent of those surveyed had registered with matchmaking social networks, and 40 percent said that they worked hard to increase their wealth in order to be more _
