常見標(biāo)志詞有:(1)并列關(guān)系:and,notonly...butalso,thatistosay等;(2)因果關(guān)系:because,for,sothat,inorderthat,dueto,thanksto,thus,therefore,so等;(3)對比關(guān)系:while,whereas,as,ratherthan,insteadof等;(4)轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系:although,though,evenif,nevertheless,despite,but,yet,however,onthecontrary等;(5)遞進關(guān)系:also,then,besides,inaddition,furthermore,what’smore等;(6)順序關(guān)系:first,then,ontheonehand等;(7)轉(zhuǎn)變話題:bytheway,whatIreallymean...等。Oneoftheeasiestthingsintheworldistobecomeafault-finder.However,lifecanbe36whenyouarenotbusyfindingfaultwithit.SeveralyearsagoI37aletterfromseventeen-year-oldKerry,whodescribedherselfasaworld-classfault-finder,almostalways38bythings.Peoplewerealwaysdoingthingsthatannoyedher,and39wasevergoodenough.hewashighlyself-criticalandalsofoundfaultwithherfriends. 36.A.lonely B.great C.quiet D.uneasy句意:世界上最簡單的事情之一就是成為一個吹毛求疵的人。 敬鸢浮緽37.A.received B.answered C.expected D.rejected由固定搭配可知,"收到來信"動詞用receive,故答案為A項。 敬鸢浮緿40.A.caring B.boring C.interesting D.surprising由前文可知,Kerry對一切都非常挑剔,她不但對自己苛刻,而且也找朋友的茬。 敬鸢浮緽Unfortunately,ittookahorribleaccidenttochangeher41.Herbestfriendwasseriouslyhurtinacarcrash.Whatmadeitalmost42todealwithwasthatthedaybeforethe43,Kerryhadvisitedherfriendandhadspentthewholetimecriticizingher44ofboyfriends,thewayshewasliving,thewaysherelatedtohermother,andvariousotherthingsshefeltsheneededto45.Itwasn'tuntilherfriendwasbadlyhurtthatKerrybecame46herhabitoffindingfault.Veryquickly,shelearnedtoappreciateliferatherthanto47everythingsoharshly(刻薄).Shewasabletotransferhernewwisdomtootherpartsofher48aswell.41.A.attitude B.plan C.measure D.explanation根據(jù)后文中的Itwasn'tuntilherfriendwasbadlyhurtthatKerrybecame46herhabitoffindingfault.Veryquickly,shelearnedtoappreciateliferatherthanto47everythingsoharshly(刻薄). 【答案】D43.A.occasion B.event C.accident D.adventure根據(jù)前面提到的ahorribleaccident可知此處應(yīng)選accident?! (be)afraidof害怕,擔(dān)心;(be)curiousabout對…… 敬鸢浮緼47.A.discuss B.realize C.judge D.settle由ratherthan(而不是)可知,后面表達的意思應(yīng)該與appreciatelife(欣賞生活)表達的意思相反。 48.A.family B.life C.career D.education由前文可知,Kerry對待生活其他方面的態(tài)度也發(fā)生了轉(zhuǎn)變,故本空應(yīng)選life(生活)。 敬鸢浮緽Perhapsmostofusaren'tasextremeatfault-finding,49whenwe'rehonest,wecanbesharply50oftheworld.I'mnotsuggestingyou51problems,orthatyoupretendthingsare52thantheyare,butsimplythatyoulearntoallowthingstobeastheyare—53mostofthetime,andespeciallywhenit'snotareallybig54.Trainyourselfto"biteyourtongue",andwithalittle55,you'llgetreallygoodatlettingthingsgo.Andwhenyoudo,you'llgetbackyourenthusiasmandloveforlife.49.A.so B.or C.but D.for根據(jù)下一段開頭的Trainyourselfto"biteyourtongue"可知,此處是說"或許我們大多數(shù)人并不是如此愛挑剔,但是(but),老實說,我們都有可能會對這個世界有尖銳的批評"。 【答案】C50.A.proud B.sure C.hopeful D.critical根據(jù)上題的分析可知,此處應(yīng)選critical。 Everyyearabout40,000peopleattempttoclimbKilimanjaro,thehighestmountaininAfrica.They___41___withthemlotsofwaste.The___42___mightdamagethebeautyoftheplace.Theglaciers(冰川)aredisappearing,changingthe___43___ofKilimanjaro.Hearingthesestories,I’m___44___abouttheplace—otherdestinationsaredescribedas“purer”naturalexperiences.However,Isoon___45___thatmuchhaschangedsincethedaysofdisturbingreportsof___46___amongtonsofrubbish.Ifinda___47___mountain,withtoiletsatcampsandalongthepaths.Theenvironmentalchallengesare___48___buttheeffortsmadebytheTanzaniaNationalParkAuthorityseemtobe___49___.ThebestofaKilimanjaro___50___,inmyopinion,isn’treachingthetop.Mountainsare___51___asspiritualplacesbymanycultures.This___52___isespeciallyevidentonKilimanjaroas___53___gothroughfiveecosystems(生態(tài)系統(tǒng))inthespaceofafewkilometers.Atthebaseisarainforest.Itendsabruptlyat3,000meters,___54___landsoflowgrowingplants.Furtherup,theweather___55___—lowcloudsenvelopethemountainsides,whicharecoveredwiththickgrass.I___56___twelveshadesofgreenfromwhereIstand.Above4,000metersisthehighland___57___:gravel(礫石),stonesandrocks.___58___youclimbintoanarctic-likezonewith___59___snowandtheglaciersthatmaysoondisappear.DoesKilimanjaro___60___itsreputationasacrowdedmountainwithlinesoftouristsruiningtheatmosphereofpeace?Ifoundtheoppositetobetrue.41.A.keep
