ManDoesNotLivebyBreadAloneNoonewoulddoubtthetruththatman’sexistencereliesessentiallyonmaterialthings.Weneedthemtogetfed,clothedandsheltered.Oncewearelivingnearthebreadline,we’llfeelfrustratedandmiserable.However,ourcontentmentdoesnotmerelylieinmaterialthings.Thisisespeciallythecaseinmoderntimes.Thefast-developingeconomyhasnoticeablyimprovedourlivesandfulfilledmostofourmaterialneeds.Thentherecomestheneedofspiritualsatisfaction,whichisderivedfromgoodhealth,closefriends,alovingspouse,well-raisedchildren,ahomebuiltonlove,aclearconscience,aworthygoalandanenjoyablejob.Whilematerialthingsmaylosetheircharmovertime,spiritualsatisfactionwillbringuslastinghappiness.Therefore,toliveahappylife,weshouldfocusmoreonthosethingsthatmeetourspiritualdemands.Afterall,whenourneedforbreadismet,happinesswillnotcomeunlesswefeelspirituallysatisfied.
