Ⅰ.OverviewTheobligation

Beforeloadingcommences

(4)TheSafetyofShipandCrew（船員）Theoverriding

[mostimportant]considerationisforthesafetyofshipandcrew.Thisimplies

[means,denotes]thatthecargoisstowedwithdueregardtotheship’sstability,trimandstrengthintheloadedcondition.

Thetotalweightloadedmustnotexceedtheload-line（載重吃水線）markspermitted

[maximumloading].Furthermore,particularattentionmustbedrawntothepropermannerintheuseofequipmentandlaborprovidedbytheportandalsointheapplicationofship’sgear（設(shè)備）tocargohandlingprocedures（操作）.Incargoloading,anefficientwayofcargoseparation

Besides,theinsuranceclaimontheship,arisingfromdamageduetoineffectivesecuringandlashing,canbehigh.Theterm“dangerousgoods”[hazardousgoods]incargocarriagereferstothehazardous（危險）articles,whichcandamageothergoods,materialsortheenvironmentduetotheirchemicalorphysicalproperties

（屬性）[natures].Examplesareexplosives,inflammables

[flammables],poisons,corrosives（易腐物品）[erosive]andradioactivesubstances.TheyaredividedintodifferentclassesaccordingtotheI.M.D.G.CodeworkedoutbyIMO.Ineverycasewheredangerousgoodsarecarried,theI.M.D.G.Codemustbeconsulted
