天涯海角主題景區(qū)石刻英譯

天涯海角景區(qū)主題景觀“天涯”“海角”“南天一柱”“海判南天”天涯海角風(fēng)景區(qū)的主題景觀是：“天涯”“海角”“海判南天”“南天一柱”等石刻?！疤煅摹笔叹嘟褚延?60多年的歷史。雍正十一年(732年)，時(shí)任中國最南端的崖州知州程哲，路過海灣，一巨石矗在海灘路中，構(gòu)成天然屏障，巖頂藍(lán)天、高聳天際，青山白云，海風(fēng)神奇，于是便引發(fā)了他的感慨，題寫了“天涯”兩字。天涯ThethemesceneryofTianyahaijiaoScenicSpotincludestheChinesecalligraphycarvedonrocksas"Tianya(edgeofthesky)","Haijiao(endofthesea)","Haipannantian(seadecidesthesouthworld)"and"Nantianyizhu(apillarinthesouthernheaven)"etc.TianyaStonecarvingof"Tianya"werecarvedmorethan260yearsago.Inthe11thyearofYongzheng(732),theMagistraterofYazhou,thesouthernstate,passedthroughthegulf,andfoundthegiantandtoweringrocksonthebeachlikeanaturalbarrierwithbluesky,whiteclouds,seabreezeandsoon,theninspiredhisinitiativeandcreativityandwroteas"TianYa"whichmeanstheedgeoftheheavenortheendoftheearth.

海角而海角兩字，據(jù)說是清末文人之手，雖有種種傳聞，但至今一時(shí)無法考證，不過這款能善解人意的題字，倒圓了人們天涯海角的夢。在“天涯”巖的下方，勒刻有郭沫若手書的“天涯海角”詩三首。HaiJiaoAnothertwowords"HaiJiao",whichmeanstheendsoftheearth,weresaidtobewrittenbyascholarfromlateQingDynasty,andalthoughthereareallsortsofrumorscan'tbeproved,butitcanbeconsideratedthatthisinscriptionmakesthedreamoftheendsoftheearthrealized.Undertherockwith"Tianya",threepoemsof"Tianyahaijiao"wrotebymodernscholarGuoMoruowereengraved.“南天一柱”石刻的上款刻著宣統(tǒng)元年四個(gè)小字，下款刻的是，“永安范云梯”字樣?！靶y(tǒng)元年”也就是“公元1909年”，永安是地名，經(jīng)考證是指“永安州”，也就是現(xiàn)在的廣西賀州地區(qū)的錳山縣。“范云梯”是“南天一柱”的題字作者。字步月，永安水竇村人。出生于清同治二年?！胺对铺荨痹诤Ｄ蠟楣偾昂笫四辏y(tǒng)元年晚清朝廷腐敗無能，外國列強(qiáng)紛至沓來，共同瓜分中國清朝處在內(nèi)外交困，危機(jī)四伏，風(fēng)雨飄搖之中，當(dāng)時(shí)46歲的“范云梯”出任崖州知州，苦心經(jīng)營海南島這快不毛之地。南天一柱Onthetopendofthestonecarvingof"Nantianyizhu(thepillaronthesouthheaven),thedateiscarvedasThefirstyearofXuantong,andonthelowerendthewordsarecarvedasFanYuntiandYongan."ThefirstyearofXuantong"means"1909",and"Yongan"isaplacewhichhasbeenprovedasaancientstate,thepresentMengshanCountyofHezhouRegioninGuangxiProvince."FanYunti"isprovedtobetheauthorof"Nantianyizhu"inscription,whohadgotanothernameofBuyue,fromShuiduvillage,YonganCounty.BorninthedateofthesecondyearofTongzhiofQingDynasty,FanYunti,asalocalofficerinHainanforeighteenyears,andbecamethegovernorofYazhouStateathisageof46,inthefirstyearofXuantong,toelaboratethisbarrenandunproductiveisland,whenthetotteringQingDynastyimperialgovernmentwasunderthecorruption,incompetence,strife-torn,crisis,withforeignpowers'aggressionandinvasion.一天巡邊至此看見驚濤之中一根石柱頂天立地，心潮澎湃，感慨萬千。有道是，“國家興旺，匹夫有責(zé)”。意到筆到，“南天一柱”四個(gè)大字一揮而就。只見字體端莊，雄渾有力，筆跡飽滿，言近旨遠(yuǎn)，完全是渾然天成。Oneday,thegovernorhadatourtothebeachandsawapillarpointingtotheskyintheroughsea,andhewasdeeplytouched.Inthinkingaboutthesayingof"Everyoneshallberesponsibleforthenationalprosperity",HeimmediatelywrotethefourChinesecharactersas"Nantianyizhu(apillarinthesouthheaven)",whichlookedelegant,powerful,mellowandfull.Thesentenceissimplebutthemeaningisdeep,anditisentirelycompletedinaccordancewiththenaturalscene.
