UnitTheadvantageofmultimediaistheabilitytobringtogetheranumberofdifferentmediainawaywhichpermitssynchronizationoffinformation,e.g.,visionandsound,andwhichoverallenhancestheinformation.Itshouldberememberedthatthe“people”themselvescanprovideinformationinseveralmedianaturally,e.g.,thepatientdemonstratingaparticularclinicalsituationprovidesvisual,tactileandevenolfactoryinformationofsignsandsymptoms,aswellasbeingabletodescribeandbequestionedabouttheeffectsofthedisease.4 UnitAnotherexampleistheabilitytolinkintotheteachingspaceoverremote linkswhichcanprovidevisualandaudioinformationfromadistance,e.g.,theapplicationofopenanddistancelearningtechniques.5

Operationoftheradarisbasedonthemeasurementofthetimeittakesforapulsetransmittedfromanantennatogetreflectedbytheobjecttobedetectedandtoreturnattheantennaandthereceiver.
