Everyyearforthelastnineyearswehaveconductedasurveyaimedatthewonderfulpeopleof

thegames&interactiveindustries.Thesurveycoversnotonlysalary,butalsoarangeofother

pointsofinterestwhichvaryyeartoyear.

Thisyearwecoveredbrandnewtopicsbasedoncurrentevents,focusingonthefourday

workingweekandthecostoflivingcrisiswherewetakeacloselookathowtheyhaveimpacted

theindustryandasaresultwehaveseensomeinsightsthisyearthathaven’tbeenobservedin

previousyears.Forthefirsttimeweseesalaryasaconsistentfrontrunnerwhenitcomestothe

mostimportantaspectofworkandreasonstochangejob,whichislikelyareflectionofthe

currentcostoflivingcrisis.Anotherinterestingpieceofdataishowthedesireforflexible/remote

workingisnolongeratopreasontowanttochangejobs,whichcouldbeduetoremote

workingnowbeingthenormatmoststudios,whichitwasn’tpriortotheCOVIDpandemic.

ThelastinsightI’dliketopointoutistoconsiderrespondentsstatingwantingtofinish

theircurrentprojectasatopreasonforturningdownajoboffer.Thisleadsmetothinkabout

whatstudiosaredoingtoretaintheirstaffonceprojectsfinish,asthedataimpliesthatthisis

thetimewhenpeoplearemostlikelytoconsidermovingintoanewjob.Thesearejustafewpieces
