Severalyearsago,anarticlenamed“IsGooglemakingusstupid”gotquitepopularontheInternet.Atthattime,IthoughtitwasjustalarmismbutnowIfinditmuchworsebecausetechnologyisnotjustmakingusstupidbutalsoweakeningourindependentthought.Abouthalfyearago,Iwasinvitedtojudgeadebatecompetition.WhenIarrivedatthecompetitionroom,Inoticeditwasanoldandclassictopic,soIwasexpectingthoseplayerstogivemesomenewandspecialideas.Unfortunately,whenthegamecontinued,Ifoundalltheviewpointsandexamplestheyusedweretotallythesameasthepreviouscompetition.Theonlyfunduringthecompetitionwastopredictwhattheywouldsay.AsfarasIwasconcerned,theywerenotmakingadebatebutreplayingavideo.Obviously,theyjustspokefortheblackmirror.
