高三開學(xué)第一課英語(一)

從上個學(xué)期開始,我?guī)狭烁呷⒄Z,站在新學(xué)期的門檻上,我感覺到從未有過的光榮與驕傲,由于這是我從教以來第一次帶高三,然而,我又感到了肩上從未有過的重重壓力,對我來說可以說是一個不小的挑戰(zhàn),由于一方面高三英語知識系統(tǒng)性強(qiáng),同時又不乏細(xì)小繁瑣知識的掌控,同學(xué)閱讀技能和寫作技巧的培育更要上一個新的臺階,另一方面,就是同學(xué)的非常性,我所帶的同學(xué),大都是中學(xué)英語學(xué)得不好,知識斷層現(xiàn)象相當(dāng)嚴(yán)峻,未經(jīng)任何形式的對中學(xué)階段內(nèi)容的復(fù)習(xí)和鞏固,就徑直學(xué)習(xí)高中階段的知識,加之多年來養(yǎng)成的懶散厭學(xué)的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣和立場,故而他們只是時間老人將其推到了高三學(xué)習(xí)的大門,就知識的輸入和存儲而言,某種程度上來說,甚至都不如一個初三班級的中上等同學(xué)。正是基于以上知識客觀性和同學(xué)主觀性兩方面因素,我對于高三英語復(fù)習(xí)課不知該如何下手,而對于新學(xué)期的第一課,我更是不敢有丁點(diǎn)兒怠慢。

在上高三英語課的第一課之前,我進(jìn)行了反復(fù)的思索,同時又對高中階段的全部英語課本內(nèi)容進(jìn)行了細(xì)致而全面的分析和整合,可以說,做到了細(xì)心的預(yù)備。

針對我的同學(xué),我進(jìn)行了如下學(xué)情分析:

一、同學(xué)詞匯量太小,甚至是對于一些中學(xué)學(xué)過的單詞,當(dāng)我問到個別同學(xué)的時候,他們都不知道意思。例如:單詞patient,這是一個中學(xué)曾經(jīng)學(xué)過的單詞,當(dāng)問及同學(xué)的時候,大部分能說出其中文意思是“病人”,但也有個別同學(xué)不認(rèn)識,當(dāng)我繼續(xù)追問該單詞作形容詞時的中文意思時,大部分同學(xué)都無言了,只是一個簡約的“耐煩的”他們都不曾知道,可見同學(xué)對于單詞及詞義的延伸掌控的太差,這樣的基礎(chǔ),英語復(fù)習(xí)的第一步都會是很困難。

二、短語和固定句型的掌控也達(dá)不到應(yīng)有的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。

三、同學(xué)對于語法知識一塌糊涂。有些同學(xué)到現(xiàn)在連最基本的主語、謂語、賓語、表語、定語、狀語和補(bǔ)語都不知道,更別說更繁復(fù)的從句和虛擬語氣等概念了。

四、以上三個問題就徑直決斷了同學(xué)的聽、說、讀、寫四種技能的低下。

同時,我又對高中英語課本內(nèi)容進(jìn)行了分析:從必修課本一貫到選修課本,內(nèi)容對上至天文、下至地理以及情感、歷史、化學(xué)等各方面知識百科都有全方位滲透,而且,詞匯在量上和難度上逐級加大,復(fù)習(xí)起來相當(dāng)?shù)睦щy。

經(jīng)過了反復(fù)的思考和斟酌,我制定了下面的高三英語第一輪復(fù)習(xí)策略:考慮到同學(xué)的基礎(chǔ)和課本內(nèi)容的難度,我想,把高考的重點(diǎn)詞匯、重點(diǎn)短語、重點(diǎn)句型、重點(diǎn)語法、繁復(fù)句式和一些名言警句放到課本上每個模塊里的某些重要的句子中,同學(xué)通過對一些詳細(xì)而鮮活的句子的記憶和掌控,不僅可以達(dá)到擴(kuò)大詞匯量、掌控重點(diǎn)短語句型和理解偏難語法的目的,最重要的是,同學(xué)通過背誦經(jīng)典句子,從長遠(yuǎn)上來說,更能提高他們的語言表達(dá)技能、閱讀理解技能和創(chuàng)新寫作技能。這種復(fù)習(xí)的策略,無論是從短期的學(xué)習(xí)效率還是長遠(yuǎn)的技能提升上來說,我想,都不失為一種不錯的選擇。

經(jīng)過這樣一番深刻的`思索,我的第一課有了明確的思路,于是,我對比著必修一Module1的學(xué)習(xí)目標(biāo),經(jīng)過一遍遍的篩選,總結(jié)出了該模塊的重點(diǎn)句子。課程詳細(xì)是這樣操作的:

第一步:讓同學(xué)將每個句子對比著課本找到所在的位置,須要的時候我會對課本上的原句子進(jìn)行適當(dāng)?shù)暮晚氁男薷模缓笞屚瑢W(xué)將這些句子摘錄到自己的筆記本上,為了便于隨堂檢查,我把每個句子的中文意思也做到了統(tǒng)一,寫到了每一個英文句子下面。

第二步:我把每個句子里的重點(diǎn)知識,比如:單詞、詞組、句型、語法等著重給同學(xué)做一次具體的講解,同時讓他們拿出一支不同顏色的筆,把這些重要的知識做標(biāo)記于每個句子的旁邊,便于在背誦的同時也能對這些知識做一個記憶。

第三步:給同學(xué)時間做充分的記憶,這一環(huán)節(jié)最終是要經(jīng)過記憶做到:看著中文句子,能夠很流利的用英語表達(dá)出來。

第四步:經(jīng)過適當(dāng)時間的記憶后,進(jìn)入隨堂檢測的第一環(huán)節(jié),老師在課堂上隨機(jī)抽查同學(xué)對于重點(diǎn)句子的記憶狀況,在提問的時候,對于基礎(chǔ)好的同學(xué),老師給出中文,讓同學(xué)用英語表達(dá)出來,標(biāo)準(zhǔn)是需要要做到流利;對于基礎(chǔ)差的同學(xué),只提問知識點(diǎn),如:單詞的正確拼寫,短語和詞組的堅固掌控等等,也是需要要嫻熟。

第五步:經(jīng)過第一環(huán)節(jié)的提問后,立刻進(jìn)入第二環(huán)節(jié):聽寫。在這一環(huán)節(jié),老師任意地念句子,同學(xué)在紙上將句子寫出來,每個句子讀四遍。第一遍,以正常語速讀;第二、三遍,放慢朗讀的速度,同學(xué)開始寫;第四遍,還原正常語速,同學(xué)對所寫的句子進(jìn)行最末的檢查。

第六步:將所寫句子收回評判,公布同學(xué)成果。

以上就是我在高三英語總復(fù)習(xí)第一課的完整的教學(xué)步驟。這樣一節(jié)課下來,同學(xué)普遍反映效果不錯,都說不僅記住了單詞短語,而且對一些較難的語法知識也能開始初步理解了,其實,我想,假如能這樣堅持下去,同學(xué)的寫作技能也會有很大的提高。在這節(jié)課上,大部分同學(xué)能夠背會,但也有個別同學(xué)還是連里面的重點(diǎn)單詞都記不住,還有一個問題就是,雖然大部分同學(xué)能背會,但都不能達(dá)到特別嫻熟的程度。

同學(xué)面臨的是一年后的高考,要完成這樣一個重大的任務(wù),絕非一朝一夕之功,前方的道路仍舊會有很多荊棘,仍舊會很長遠(yuǎn)。但話又說回來,無論前方的道路有多難多艱,人是活的,只要有繼續(xù)走下去的信心、志氣和毅力,我想即使是荊棘叢生,也會有好花終開,好景永在!

Someoneaskedmeonetime:“Howdidyougetstarted,inthegovernment?”AndIwouldsaytothemthatIdidn’treallye*pecttostartinthegovernment.So,IstartedinAmerica,as,youknow,athirdgrader,IcametoUnitedStateswhenIwasabouteightyearsold.Istartedthirdgrade.Ididn’tspeakEnglish.Anditwasveryverydifficult,withmyparentsaswell.Wedidn’tknowthelanguageinAmerica,wedidn’tunderstandthefood.Wedidn’tunderstandthetradition,theculture.SoI’mstillveryChinesethatway.Peopleaskedme“whatpreparesyoutosuccess?Whatmotivatesyou?”Andforme,I’dsay,No.1Iwanttomakemyparentsproud.Becausetheysacrificesomuchforthechildren;No.2Ialwayswanttoworkforabiggerpurposethanjustformyself.SoIalwayswanttobeabletocontributeandtohelpotherpeople.So,ifyouweretoaskmewhatweremycareergoes?Ididn’thaveany,whichinretrospectwasagoodthing.Becauseourcommunityatthattimewassosmall.So,forme,whenIgraduatedfromschool,Iwasserious.Ihadverysimplegoals:one,istogetajob;two,itisbasicallytogetanapartment,soIcanbeindependent.AndthenIwenttoHarvard,Businessschool.IgraduatedfromHarvardBusinessschool.Andbecausemyfamilywasinbusiness,Idecidedtogointobanking,togetsomee*perienceinbanking.Ididn’tunderstandsomuchofwhatwasbankingwasallabout,butIlearned.SoIworkedforCitiGroup.AndthenwhenIwasinthemiddleofworkingforCitiGroupafter4years,IhadtheopportunitytoworkattheWhiteHouse.BecauseCitiGrouphasaspecialprogram.Theyselectedoutstandingperformerswithinthebank,andgavethemanopportunitytosupportthemforaninterninthegovernment.SoIwasselectedasaWhiteHousefellow.AndIworkedattheWhiteHouseforoneyear.Itwasadifficulttime,it’snoteasy.ButIwassoe*cited.Itwassointeresting.BecausetherewerenoChinese,noAsiansattheWhiteHouseatthattime.SoIfeltthatIwasblazingnewtrailsforotherAsianAmericans.AndthenIwaslearningalottobeabetterleaderforthefuture.SoIworkedattheWhiteHouseforayear.AndthePresidentatthattime,RonaldReaganwasfromCaliforlia.IgrewupinNewYork.I’veneverbeentoCalifornia,soIdecidedthatIwantedtogotoCalifornia.SoIfoundajobwithBankofAmericainCaliforniaandmovedtoCalifornia.Ididn’tknowanybody,Ididn’thaveanyfriendstherebutIwassoe*cited.IjustwantedtoseewhatCaliforniawaslike.SoIwasinCaliforniaforabout3yearsandthenonedayIgotaphonecall,fromSecretaryElizabethDoll.Andshewasthesecretaryoftransportation.Andsheneededsomeonewhounderstoodbanking,whichIhadgainedine*periencefromCitiBank.Andshealsoneededsomeonewhounderstoodshipping,whichIalsohadgainedfromBankofAmerica.Sothetwoe*pertisereallyhelpedmetogetthejobthatshehadinmind.Shehadaportfoliointhedepartmentoftranspo

rtationthatwasloosing1.8billiondollarsayear.Andsheneededabankertogoandcleanitup.Sowithinoneweekend,IflewbackfromCalifornia,foundanapartmentinWashingtonDC,andstartedworkonMonday.Andthenfrom,thiswasthemaritimeadministration.Iworkedtherefor2years,learnedagreatdealaboutthegovernment.Andaround,um,2yearslater,IwasappointedthechairmanoftheFederalMaritimeCommission.AndthereasonwhyIwasappointedwasbecausethepreviouschairmanoftheFederalMaritimeCommissionhadpassedawaysuddenly.Sotheyneededthegovernment,theyneededsomeonewhounderstoodshipping,whohadbeeninthegovernmentinshipping,whocanbethechairman.Soonceagain,myparticularbackgroundinshipping,transportation,bankingwasveryimportant.And,soIwaschairmanforaboutayear.Andthenanewpresidentcamein.AnditwasPresident,thefirstPresidentBush,andsoheaskedmetobetheDeputySecretaryoftheDepartmentofTransportation.Andatthattime,Iwas,um,Imust’vebeenonly35.Stillolderthanyou,butveryveryyoung.Iwasoneoftheyoungestdeputysecretaries,um,inthewholegovernment.AndIwasalsotheonly,thefirstAsianAmericanDeputySecretaryinUnitedStatesgovernment.Andthenin1992,thatwas22yearsago,somany,suchalongtimeago,um,PresidentBushlosthisre-

election.Sowhenhelosesare-

election,whathappensinAmericaiseverybodywho’swithhimgoes.SoIjoinedUnitedwayofAmerica.AndUnitedWayistheNo.1charityinAmerica.Iwastherefor4years.Ihadalittlebitoftimetogetmarried,attheageof39.Itwasverylate.Myhusbandasyouumknow,isthe,um,leaderinthe,um,Congress,He’svery,heisaverygoodhusband.Hedoeshisownlaundry,hecooks,andhehelpsmewiththehouse,too.Heisveryencouragingonwomen,um,andIthinkit’sreallyimportant,tofindsomeonewhoisgoingtobeyourlifepartner.Becausetheywillhelpyouadapttoyourlife,andtheywillhelpyouadapttoyourcareeraswell.Andsoin1996,Iwantedtohaveabreak,soIjoinedaTHINKTANKwhereItooksometimetostudyandlearnmoreabouttheAmericanpoliticalsystem,howtogetideasacross.BecauseAmericaisaveryconfrontationalsociety.Youknowpeoplearearguingallthetime.Sosomepeoplearesayingthis,somepeoplearesayingthat.Andit’sOK,sothere’salotoffighting,backandforth.

Theworldischangingsorapidly,soyou’llhavethesamekindofopportunitiesaswell.Therearesomanyopportunitiesforyou.Ican’ttellyouwhattheseopportunitiesare,butifyouhavetheinterest,andyouhavethewill,andyouhavetheconfidence,youwillhavealotofopportunities.That’sall.
