在復(fù)合句中,由一個(gè)句子充當(dāng)賓語(yǔ),這個(gè)句子叫作賓語(yǔ)從句。

本單元主要學(xué)習(xí)由that,whether/if引導(dǎo)的賓語(yǔ)從句。

一、引導(dǎo)詞

1.Ithink(that)mathisdifficult.

Shesaid(that)shewouldleaveanoteonthedesk.

陳述句作賓語(yǔ)時(shí),賓語(yǔ)從句用that引導(dǎo)。that只起連接作用,沒有實(shí)際意義,

在從句中不充當(dāng)任何成分,因此??墒÷?。

2.Idon’tknowwhether/ifIshouldtakehisadvice.

Hewantstoknowif/whetheryouareadoctor.

一般疑問句作賓語(yǔ)時(shí),賓語(yǔ)從句用if或whether引導(dǎo)。它們?cè)诰渥又械囊馑际莀_____(如果/是否),在從句中不充當(dāng)任何成分,但不可省略。

是否

只能用whether,不能用if引導(dǎo)的情況:

1)在介詞的后面

e.g.I’mthinkingofwhetherweshouldgotoseethefilm.

2)與ornot直接連用

e.g.Idon’tknowwhetherornottheycangetthereontime.

賓語(yǔ)從句的時(shí)態(tài)一般受主句時(shí)態(tài)的影響。

如果主句是一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)或一般將來時(shí),that,whether/if引導(dǎo)的賓語(yǔ)從句可根據(jù)需要使用適當(dāng)?shù)臅r(shí)態(tài)。

5.Lindadidn’tsayifherauntwasstillwiththem.

當(dāng)主句是一般過去時(shí),從句要用相應(yīng)的過去時(shí)態(tài)。

6.Dadtoldmethatthesunrisesintheeast.

Teresatoldhersonthatleavesturnyellowinautumn.

當(dāng)從句表示的是名言、客觀真理或自然現(xiàn)象等時(shí),一般不受主句時(shí)態(tài)的限制,均用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)。
