如:who,when,where,why,what,how.3.

ThereAreNoVans

4.

Thatnight,wewitnessedtheothersideoftheseemingly

glamorous(耀眼的)city—familiesstrugglingdesperatelyontheedgeofpoverty,orphanswithoutaroofovertheirheads...Yetwhenwegavethemfood,heart-feltappreciationcouldbeseenonallthosepaleandweather-beatenfaces,radiatingenoughwarmthtomeltthecoldestwinter.

Tearsturnedintofrost,coveringourfaces,yetwefeltourinnerworldflaminghot.

6.

Wecannotchangethisunfairworldthatmaketherichandpoordivide,butatleastwecanofferourkindness,forthehelplesssouls—eveninacitywhere“therearenovans.”原文:Itwasatrulyfulfillingexperiencetomakeevenasmalldifference.Yousee,youcanmakeanythinghappenifyoucommittoitandtakeaction.Miracleslikethishappeneveryday—eveninacitywhere“therearenovans.”

Thenitstartedtohowl,andfinallyitwasshriekingsoloudlyDadhadtoturnuptheTV.)

verge(邊緣)ofgivingup. The

nearly-extinguished(快要熄滅的)sparksofhopewereinstantly

OneweekendinJuly,

"anabsolutedarknessruledtheforest"

中,

"rule"

"Eagerandexcited,sheflaggedheryellowblouse…"

"There,shesawherhusband,amanstaringather,wearinganexpressionofrelief."

"wear"

【詞匯拓展】1)表示并列關(guān)系的過渡詞:and,aswellas,or,Notonly…butalso2)表示轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系的過渡詞:but,yet,however,although,though…3)表示時(shí)間關(guān)系的過渡詞:first,second,third,andthen,finally,after,before,afterafewdays,atlast,atthattime,later,inthepast,immediately,inthemeanwhile,when,while,then,afterthat…
