DistributionofEstablishmentandRevisionPlansforNationalStandardsinEngineeringConstruction
2013(JIANBIAO〔2013〕No.6)issuedbyMinistryofHousingandUrbanRuralDevelopment.

Thiscodecomprises5chapterswiththemaincontentsasfollows:General;Terms;Basic

Comparedwiththeoriginalcode,thiscodeaddsthefollowingcontents:1.BasicRequirements;

Thegroundingconnectionshallbeinstalledbytheconstructioncompanyaccordingtothe

approveddesigndocuments.Specialpersonnelfromprojectmanagementcompanyandsupervision
companyshallberesponsibleforsupervision.
Thenewtechnology,newprocessandnewmaterialsshallbetestedandsubjecttonational

qualifiedverificationandvalidationtomeettherequirementofdesignandsafeuse.
Theinstallationofgroundingconnectionshallbeincoordinationwithcivilworks.Theconcealed

partshallbechecked,acceptedandrecordedbyrelevantdepartmentsbeforebeingcoveredup.
3.0.4Thefollowingmetalpartsintheelectricequipmentmustbegrounded:

Thegroundingconductorthatcanformloopcircuitwiththegroundandthroughwhichthe

currentnormallyflowsshallbelaidalongtheinsulatingpaddingplateandshallnotbeconnectedwith
metalpipes,buildingsorequipmentcomponentsthroughmetal;
Thegroundingconnectionshouldnotbelaidinsoilwherethecorrosivesubstancecanbe

producedbyelectrolyzing.Theexternalgroundingconnectionorsoilimprovementmaybeadoptedif

TheDCpositivegroundingconductorandgroundingelectrodeshallnotbeconnectedwith

naturalgroundingelectrodethroughmetal;thedistancebetweenthemshallnotbelessthan1mwhen
thereisnoinsulation.
Theelectricequipmentshallbereliablyconnectedwiththegroundinggrid.Intheexpansion

project,theconnectionofgroundinggridwiththeexistingoneshallmeetthedesignrequirementsand
shallbeatleastattwopoints.
Thegroundingconnectionacceptancetests,includingconductiontest,shallbecarriedoutafter

thegroundingconnectionisconstructedassoonaspossible.Thegroundresistancevalueshallmeetthe
requirementsofdesign.

Thegroundingconnectionintheregionwithhighsoilresistivitymaybeputintooperationafter

4.1SelectionofGroundingConnection
Thegroundingconnectionsshallutilizenaturalgroundingelectrodeburieddirectlyunderground
4.1.1
orunderwater.Thefollowingnaturalgroundingelectrodemaybeused:
Metalpipesburiedunderground,excludingpipesconveyingcombustibleorexplosivematerials;

Metalwellpipes;

Metalstructureofbuildingreliablyconnectedwiththeground;

Metalpipes,pilesandfoundationreinforcingmeshofthehydraulicstructuresandothersimilar

GroundingconductorofACelectricequipmentmaybegroundedthroughthefollowing

Metalstructure,beamandcolumnofbuildings;

Metalstructuresinproduction,suchascranetrack,passageway,platform,frameofcraneand

elevator,steelbeamforconveybelt,frameofelectrostaticdustcollectorandsoon.
Thegroundingconnectioninthepowerplantandsubstationshall專用besetwithnotonlynatural

groundingelectrodebutalsoartificialgroundingelectrode,i.e.thegroundinggriddominatedby
horizontalgroundingelectrode.Themeasuringwellseparatingnaturalgroundingelectrodefrom
artificialgroundingelectrodeshallbefurnished.Substationanddistributionsubstationof3kV~10kV
maynotbeartificiallygroundedwhenthereinforcingmeshinthebuildingfoundationisusedasthe
groundingelectrodeandthegroundresistancesatisfiesdefinedvalue.
Selectionofthegroundingconnectionmaterialshallbeinaccordancewiththefollowing

Exceptthetemporarygroundingconnection,thegroundingconnectionshallbehotdip

galvanizedifsteelisused.Thehotdipgalvanizedroundsteelandflatsteelshallbeusedforhorizontal

laying.Thehotdipgalvanizedanglesteel,steeltubeorroundsteelshallbeusedforverticallaying;

Whenflatcopperstrip,copperstrandedwire,copperrod,coppercoatedsteel(roundwireand

shallmeettherequirementsofdesign;
Aluminumconductorsshallnotbeusedasthegroundingelectrodeorgroundingconductor.
