propagationfunctionHispracticallyflatwithlinearphase,indicatingthelineitselfactsasnothingmorethanatime-delayelementwithaminoramountofattenuation.

Presumingthattheattenuation(andpossiblydistortion)ofH(w)fallswithinacceptablebounds,aproperlyterminatedLC-modetransmissionlinemaybeoperatedsatisfactorilyatanylength.
