proofofsatisfactoryproductionofequalorsimilarfixturesforaperiodofatfiveyearspriortoFixturesincludedunderthisSectionarespecifiedbyapprovedmanufacturerandequipmentasspecified,unlesssubstitutionsaremutuallyagreedupon,asStatementofTheContractor,bycommencingtheWorkofthisSection,assumesoverallresponsibility,asapartofwarrantyoftheWork,toassurethatassemblies,componentsandpartsshownorrequiredbytheWorkofthisSectioncomplywiththeContractDocuments.Duringtheconstructionperiod,nosubstitutionsshallbeconsideredunlesscompellingreasonsaresuchasinabilitytomeetdeliveryschedule.ThisreasonshallnotbeacceptableifdelayiscausedbyContractor'sfailuretoorderfixtureinaccordancewiththeschedulepresentedunder“SUBMITTALS”below.Insuchcases,itisContractor'sresponsibilitytoprovidefixturesasspecifiedwithoutdelaytotheprojectandwithoutadditionalcosttoOwner.RequiredForaperiodofoneyearafterOwner'sinitialacceptanceandestablishmentofthebeginningdatethewarrantyperiod,andatnoadditionalcost,theContractorshallpromptlyprovideandinstallreplacementsforfixturesorcomponents(exceptforlamps)which,intheopinionoftheOwner,aredefectiveinmaterialsorworkmanshipundernormaloperatingconditions.IfapprovedtodosobytheOwner,theContractormayrepairinstalledequipmentatthejobsitetoOwner'ssatisfaction,providedthattheContractorrepairsanydamagetoadjacentWork.Foranytimeduringthewarrantyperiodthatfixturesarenotfullyfunctionalduetodefectsinmaterialsorworkmanship,theContractorshallprovideorpayforandinstallandremovesuitableandadequatetemporarylightingfixtures.TheContractoralsowarrantsreplacementfixturesorcomponentstobefreeofdefectsinworkmanshipormaterialsforaperiodofoneyearfollowingreplacement,andshallreplaceanydefectivereplacementsduringtheirwarrantyperiod.Substitutionsshallbenamed,samples,cataloguecutsandcompletephotometricreportssubmitted,costsavingsdocumented.Eachsubstitutionrequestedshallbesubmittedintheformofanalternate,separateproposal,accompaniedbycompletedescriptiveandtechnicaldata,indicatingadditionordeductionfromthebasebid.SubmitawrittenrequestforproposedfixturestobesubstitutedtoArchitectatleasttwoweekspriortothebidperiod.Substitutionsproposedlessthantwoweekspriortothebidsubmittaldate,and/ornotincludingproperdocumentation,shallnotbeconsidered.TheOwnershallacceptorrejectproposedsubstitutions.TheArchitectmayrequestsamplesoffixturesproposedasbythe
