revealed.TherearereconstructionsthatshowhowArbeiaRomanFortwouldhavelooked.

TheReconstructions

ThereconstructionsoftheCommandingOfficer'shouseandsoldiers*quartersarestrikinglydifferent.The

accommodationforsoldiersisdarkanduncomfortable,whiletheCommandingOfficer'shouseisspaciousandluxurious,

withcourtyardswithfountainsforhimandhisfamilytoenjoy.

TheMuseum

VisitthemuseumandseemanyobjectsthatwerefoundatArbeia.Theyarehistoricallyimportantandshowwhatdaily

lifewasreallylikeatthattime.Youwillseeweapons,tools,jewellery,andsoon.YoucanalsodiscoverhowtheRomans

buriedtheirdeadandseetombstoneswhichsurvivetothisday.Thereisa"hands-on"areaallowingvisitorstodigona

certainsiteandstudytheirfindingswiththehelpofmuseumstaff.Youcanpiecetogetherpottery(陶器),ortrywritingjust

astheRomanswouldhavedone.Forchildren,theycanbuildthisRomanfortwithbuildingblocksbythemselves.
