ShanghaiDisneylandhasbeenbuiltrecentlyinShanghai.Asktwoquestionsaboutit,atleastonespecialquestion.

What’sthepriceoftheticket?

Arethereanytouristhotelsnearby?

Couldyouremendsomeinterestinggameplay?

Youwillhaveoneminutetoprepareandthirtysecondstoread.

1:...The

new

hotel._______A.Theyallbelievethatitsintroductionhasledtoamodern,moreprofessionalcorporateimageandgreaterconfidenceamongthem.B.Withtherecentreconstruction,itisbelievedthatthehotelwillheightenitsreputationandproducebettereconomicandsocialbenefit.2)

例2:LauraAshleymadeafortunebylookingbacktopastcenturies,searchingforolddesignstodecorateavarietyofclothesandhouseholdfurnishings._______.A.ThesetraditionalproductscreatedahugewaveofdemandfromtheStatesandelsewhere.B.Allthatchangedwhenshebecameinterestedinprintingfabrics.

3)

3:ArecentlystudybyAmericanmanagementinstituteshowsthattheprocessingofdocumentstakesup60%ofofficeworks’time,40%oflaborcostsandupto10%ofbusinessine.________.A.Thesefiguresarehardlysurprisingsincedocumentsconveyninetenthsofallinformation.B.These

new

methods

of

handling

paperwork

have

already

greatly

improved

efficiency.

例題:Researchersanalyzedthecontentsof28strawberryflavoredproductssoldinstores.________Ofthe11productsthatdidcontainstrawberries,fiveofthemcontainedlessthanonepercentrealfruit.Inaddition,eachjuiceboxcontainednearlyeightteaspoonsofsugar.A.Actuallytheproductcontainsjustatinypercentageofstrawberryorevennofruitatall.B.Theyfoundthatabout60percentofthemdidn'tcontainanyfruitatall.2.

Ifindthat’soneofthethingsthatpeopleassociatewithpain.Infact,myphilosophyisthatdentaltreatmentshouldtakeplaceinanatmosphereofrelaxation,interestand,aboveall,enjoyment.A.Fiveyearsago,JeromewenttotheUnitedStatestodoresearch.B.Hehastriedtocreateanenvironmentwherepeoplearenotafraid.C.Therelaxationtechniquesareimportantbutthequalityofthetreatmentisthemostimportantthing.D.WewerethefirstpracticeinBritaintointroducethem.2)例證關系

5:Manager

regular

their

staff._______.

Ifthisisnotdone,employeeswillthinktheireffortsarenotappreciated.A.Ifthesearepoor,employeeswillfeelleftout.B.Thiscaneasilyhappen,sinceitisnotalwayspossibletointroduceproductivitymeasurementsintoevery,employee'swork.C.Inparticular,employersarerecognizingthattheserequirementswillchangeastimegoesby.D.Forexample,whengoodworkhasbeendoneitmustbepraised.3)

for,

since,

as,

the

reason

is

that,result

in/

from,

be

due

to,

be

attributed

to

等等。還有一些表示因果邏輯關系的表達是比較隱蔽的,如:underlie(前者構成后者的基礎,實際是前者是因,后者是果),再如:in

response

to(前者作為后者的回應,即后者是因,前者是果)。 例6:Thereisnodoubtthat,inanincreasinglypetitivetradingenvironment,wearebetterequippedthanevertopeteandtowinandwefeelincreasinglyoptimistic._______.Theboardbelievesthatthegroup’sdevelopmentisbeingmanagedinaprudentmannerandatanappropriatespeedtoproducesustainableprofitgrowth.A.Thesehavevastlyimprovedouroperationsintheareasofrangeplanning,financialcontrolandmerchandisemanagement.B.Thisisduetoournowhavingaclearstrategywithafocusonthecustomer,productimprovement.C.In

7:KnownasGlasgow’smostfashionabledentist,_______.Forexample,heusesaspecialinstrumentwhichsprayswarmwaterontheteethtocleanthem,ratherthanscrapingthem.A.
