Step1:Warmup(5minutes)

GreetthestudentsandaskiftheyhaveheardaboutanyrecentenvironmentalissuesornewsrelatedtosavingtheEarth.

Showashortvideoorslidesontheimportanceofenvironmentalprotectiontoengagestudentsinthetopic.

Step2:Prereading(5minutes)

Introduceandexplainthekeyvocabularywordsrelatedtotheenvironmentandconservation.

AskstudentswhatproblemstheythinktheEarthisfacingandwhattheycandotohelpsolvetheseproblems.

Step3:Whilereading(15minutes)

DistributehandoutswiththereadingpassagesfromSectionB(1a1d).

Instructstudentstoreadthepassagessilentlyandtakenotesonthemainideasandsupportingdetails.

Askstudentstounderlineanyunfamiliarwordsandtrytoguesstheirmeaningsfromcontext.

Afterreading,askprehensionquestionstocheckunderstandingandclarifyanydoubts.

Step4:Postreading(15minutes)

Focusonthetargetlanguagestructureformakingsuggestions.

Writeexamplesentencesontheboardusingshould,could,andmighttomakesuggestions.

PairstudentsupandaskthemtodiscusswaystheycouldhelpsavetheEarthusingthetargetlanguagestructure.

Havesomepairssharetheirideaswiththeclass.

Step5:SpeakingPractice(10minutes)
