Wearedrowninginnews.Reutersaloneputsoutthree-and-a-halfmillionnewsstoriesayear.That'sjustonesource.

Myquestionis:Howmanyofthosestoriesareactuallygoingtomatterinthelongrun?That'stheideabehindTheLongNews.It'saprojectbyTheLongNowFoundation,whichwasfoundedbyTEDstersincludingKevinKellyandStewartBrand.Andwhatwe'relookingforisnewsstoriesthatmightstillmatter50or100or10,000yearsfromnow.Andwhenyoulookatthenewsthroughthatfilter,alotfallsbythewayside.

ComebackGivesChinaASensationalThomasCupWin.(TheComebackGaveChinaASensationalThomasCupWin.)

StreetBattleInHeavyShellingAsPeaceTalksProceed.(StreetBattleInHeavyShellingAsPeaceTalksProceeded.)

英語新聞標(biāo)題中動(dòng)詞將來時(shí)的表達(dá)形式除一般將來時(shí)“Will+動(dòng)詞原形”外,更多的還是采用“聯(lián)系動(dòng)詞be+動(dòng)詞不定式”結(jié)構(gòu),其中聯(lián)系動(dòng)詞be通常省略,以節(jié)省標(biāo)題字?jǐn)?shù)。

LastTwoBeiruitHostages'ToGoFree'.(TheLastTwoHostagesInBeiruitAre'ToGoFree'.)

FloridaFreezeToIncreaseAreaProducePrices.(TheFreezeInFloridaIsToIncreaseTheAreasProducePrices.)

SignsOfRiftsAppearingInArgentina'sJunta.(TheSignsOfRiftsAreAppearingInArgentina'sJunta.)

Deposits,LoansRisingInShanghai.(DepositsAndLoansAreRisingInShanghai.)

1、Takingadvantageofthetwo-daydayoffs,hebasked1inthespringsunshinewithhisfamily.

2、Thecentralgovernmentcalledoneveryregiontodevelopitsownexport-orientedhitproductsaccordingtoitslocaladvantagesandcharacteristic.

7、ThenextojectivefortheChinesepeopletostriveforistoreachthewell-to-dolevel.
