77、韓信拜將淮陰侯韓信者,淮陰人也。始為布衣時(shí),貧,無(wú)行,不得推擇為吏:常從人寄食飲。人多厭之者。嘗數(shù)從其下鄉(xiāng)南昌亭長(zhǎng)寄食,數(shù)月,亭長(zhǎng)妻患之,乃晨炊蓐食。食時(shí),信往,不為具食。信亦知其義,怒,競(jìng)絕去。淮陰屠中少年有侮信者,日:“若雖長(zhǎng)大,好帶刀劍,中情竊耳?!北娙柚眨骸靶拍芩?,刺我;不能死,出我胯下?!庇谑切攀煲曋┏隹柘?,匍匐。一市人皆笑信,以為竊。及項(xiàng)梁渡淮,信仗劍從之,居麾下,無(wú)所知名。項(xiàng)梁敗,又屬項(xiàng)羽,羽以為郎中。數(shù)以策干項(xiàng)羽,羽不用。漢王之入蜀,信亡楚歸漢。坐法當(dāng)斬,信日:“上不欲就天下乎?何為斬壯士!”滕公奇其言,壯其貌,釋而不斬。與語(yǔ),大悅之。言于上,上拜以為治粟都尉,上未之奇也。信數(shù)與蕭何語(yǔ),何奇
