However,Irecentlyorderedacaseof1,000envelopesformybusinessandamextremely

disappointed.Firstofall,theenvelopesIreceiveddifferfromthedescriptioninyourcatalog.

Theyaresupposedtobenineincheslong,buttheenvelopesIreceivedaresixincheslong.

Second,theadhesiveontheenvelopsisdefective.Iattemptedtouseadozenofthem,andnone

ofthemremainedproperlysealed.Attheveryleast,Iwouldlikearefundforthefullcostof

theseenvelopes,alongwiththeshippingcharge.ThetotalamountIpaidwas$34.68.

Furthermore,theinspectionstickeronthe

cartonstatesthattheproductwasinspectedatyourBurlingtonwarehouse.Iwouldliketoknow

wroteanextensivepieceonMillennialsandheremainsratheroptimisticaboutourpotential.

Ihesitatetosharehisoptimismbecauseofaparadox(矛盾的現(xiàn)象)weseemtoexhibit,namely,

thattherearemoreavenuesforustoentertainourselvesthaneverbefore,yetwearemore

undoubtedlyduetoTheGreatRecession.Millennialsarchavingadifficulttimefindingjobs;only

47percentof16-to-24-year-oldsareemployed,thesmallestsharesincegovernmentstared

recordingdatain1948.ButdoMillennialsrespondtotheseeconomictroublesbydoing

subjectedtouncivilizedbehavior.Ontheotherhand,alittlepolitenessgoesalongwaytowards

relievingthetensionsofmotoring.Afriendlynodorawaveofacknowledgmentinresponseto

anactofpolitenesshelpstocreateanatmosphereofgoodwillandtolerancesonecessaryin

moderntrafficconditions.Butsuchacknowledgmentsofpolitenessarealltooraretoday.Many

driversnowadaysdon'tevenseemabletorecognizepolitenesswhentheyseeit.

However,misplacedpolitenesscanalsobedangerous.Typicalexamplesarethedriver

whobrakesviolentlytoallowacartoemergefromasidestreetatsomehazardtofollowing

traffic,whenafewsecondslatertheroadwouldbeclearanyway;orthemanwhowavesachild
