Cannedcyclesmakeiteasierfortheprogrammertocreateprograms.

Withacannedcycle,afrequentlyusedmachiningoperationcanbespecifiedinasingleblockwithaGfunction;withoutcannedcycles,normallymorethanoneblockisrequired.Inaddition,theuseofcannedcyclescanshortentheprogramtosavememory.

Table13.1listscannedcycles.
