如:(樣題)Alan:Oh,itmusthavebeenDad.I'msurehewasinthekitchen4(early). Alan:Why?Mum:I'mnotsurewhat1(happen).Imadesomesandwichesearlierandleftthemonthetable2Iwenttoanswerthephone.Butsomeonemusthavetakenthembecausethey're3(go).Alan:Oh,itmusthavebeenDad.I'msurehewasinthekitchen4(early).Mum:No,hewentofftohistennismatchbeforeIfinished5(make)them,sohecouldn'thavedoneit.6,hecouldn'tcarryaplateofsandwichesaswellasallhistennisstuff,soI'msure7wasn'thim.Alan:(openingthefridgedoor)Well,itwasn'tme.ButMum,look!Aretheseyoursandwicheshereonthebottomshelfof8fridge?Mum:Aretheythere?Oh,mygoodness.I9haveputthemintherewhenthephonerang.Oh,dear.Ireallymustbelosingmy10.Now,whydidIputonmycoat?【例2】短文體Oneofmyfather'sfavorite1(say)asIwasgrowingupwas“Tryit!”Icouldn'tsayIdidn'tlikesomething,2itmightbe,untilafterItriedit.OvertheyearsI'vecometorealizehowmuchofmysuccessIowetomy3(accept)ofthosewordsasoneofmyvalues.MyfirstjobwasjustoneIdecidedtotryforacoupleofyearsuntilIdeterminedwhatIwantedtodoasacareer(職業(yè)).4(actual)IbelievedIwouldworkforafewyears,get5(marry),stayhomeandraiseafamily,soIdidn'tthinkthejobItookmatteredthatmuch.Icouldn't6moremistaken.Imasteredtheskillsofthat7(begin)levelpositionandIwasgiventheopportunity(機會)tomoveupthroughthecompanyinto8(differ)positions.

Passage1Alice:Mr.Black,ThisisAlicespeaking.I'mcallingtoaskyouBlack:Well,ofcourse.2canyoutellmewhattheproblemis,Alice?Alice:OK,Mr.Black.Mysonisgoingtotakepartinasinging3(compete)tobeheldinWashingtontomorrow.He'sgotsomanythingstotakethathecan'tgothere4.Black:Soyouwanttotake5thereinyourminibus?Alice:Yes.AndassoonasIputhimupinthehotel,I6(drive)back.Black:Well,thatwouldbe7tootiringjourney.It'snearly300kilometersawayanditwilltakeyouatleastsixhours8(travel)toandfromWashington.Whydon'tyoustaythereuntilyouhaveseenyoursonperform?Alice:ButIhavetwo9tomorrowmorning.Black:Don'tworry.I'lltellMarytotakeyourclasses10.She'salwayswillingtohelp.Alice:That’llbenice.ThankyouandgivemythankstoMary.Black:You'rewelcome.Passage2Iwaswalkingwithafriendyesterday1IfoundaniPhone5sinapileofsnow.Ipicked2upanditstillworked!IstartedlookingthroughthenamelistandcallingnumberstoseewhetherIcouldfigureoutwhosephoneitwas.3,onlyonepersonansweredandshedidn’trecognizethenumberthatIwascallingfrom.Sincethatladydidn’tknowwhosephoneitwas,myfriendsuggestedthatwegobackto4streetandthehousethatwefoundtheiPhone5sinfrontof.Iknockedonthedoorandtwocollege-agepeopleanswered.They5(lose)theirphones,butasItoldthemthestoryandmentionedsome6onthenamelist,theyoungmansaidthathealsohadthosenamesandit7bethephoneofoneoftheirfriends.Ireallydidn’thaveanythingtosay,becauseinmymindIwasjustdoingtherightthing.I8(immediate)triedtofindtheowner,becausethatisexactly9IwouldwantsomeonetodoifeitherIoranyofmyfamilymemberslostphones.Thepurposeofhelpingothersisnotforreturn.10(help)othersismorethanenoughformeanditisthemostendlessjoyoflife.
