齊德組王威廉:英文介紹遲愷，李昊然，陸佳琪:中文介紹新南威爾士大學創(chuàng)立于1949年。最初命名為新南威爾士科技大學（NewSouthWalesUniversityofTechnology），專注于工程學與科學。在1958年，為了適應大學的全面改革，使學校變成一個現(xiàn)代多元化的學府，校名改為新南威爾士大學（UniversityofNewSouthWales）。1960年學校創(chuàng)立了社會文科學院（FacultyofArtsandSocialSciences），隨后1961年創(chuàng)立了醫(yī)學院和1971年法學院。隨后，新南威爾士大學法學院成立了多個法律資源中心：KingsfordLegalCentre、AustralianHumanRightsCentre、Gilbert+TobinCentreforPublicLaw、SocialJusticeProject和NationalProBonoResourceCentre。新的法學院大樓內設有專門的法律圖書館，已于2006年開始起用?，F(xiàn)今，法學院已成為澳洲頂尖的法律學院之一。在過去的6年，5個UNSW的法律學生拿到了極具權威的RhodesScholarships。澳洲聯(lián)邦憲法的修訂，也由該校法學院的協(xié)助下完成。另外，法學院也包含了全澳洲最大的稅務學校(Atax)。近年來也開設了澳大利亞與中國稅制的專題研究項目和相關課程。澳洲聯(lián)邦憲法的制訂與修改,聯(lián)邦及州政府的法律咨詢也多出自該學院。[3]

新南威爾士大學為申請本科課程的留學生提供了預備課程，預備課程根據(jù)不同的專業(yè)設立不同的課程。預科學習的時間為1年。申請新南威爾士大學本科課程的中國高中畢業(yè)生均要求參加預科學習。預科課程的語言要求為雅思6分，對于沒有達到該分數(shù)的申請人則要求在語言學校學習一段時間的英語。

在中國讀完大學一年級的申請人不需要預科課程學習而直接進入大學本科課程。直接申請本科課程的申請人要求提供雅思6.5分的成績且每單項分數(shù)不能少于6.0分，部分學科需要7分單項不低于6.5或托福575分。沒有達到語言要求的申請人需要進入語言學校進修一段時間的語言。2002年6月，河北省教育廳與澳大利亞新南威爾士大學在河北省首屆國際教育博覽會上簽訂了長期合作協(xié)議。根據(jù)協(xié)議，雙方將共同培養(yǎng)雙語教學教育碩士。由省教育廳選拔已取得碩士研究生資格并完成雙方共同商定的碩士課程的學生，推薦到新南威爾士大學，進行為期1年的學習，成績合格頒發(fā)新南威爾士大學碩士學位證書及碩士畢業(yè)證書。該項目的學員將從河北師范大學、河北大學、燕山大學等學校的研究生班中選拔，每期40名左右。
