九年級(jí)英語全冊(cè)u(píng)nit 3 teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothesteaching aims:1. new words and expression: allow, drive, pierce, drivers license, go out with friends, sixteen-year-olds, have part-time jobs, get ears pierced2. sentence structure: should be allowed to do 3. talk about what you are allowed to do. agree and disagree.important and difficult points:1. learn to make complete sentences using “should be allowed to do”.2. learn to answer “do you agree or disagree?” i think teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes. i dont think sixteen-year-olds should be allowed to drive.teaching procedures:step1. lead-in(1) t: on weekends, i can surf the internet to watch english-language videos. what do you usually do on weekend?(2) work in pairs. talk about what you can do and what you cant do. surf the internet play basketball go out at night driver a car (3) we can change “can” into “be allowed to do”. change “cant” into “be not allowed to do”.you can play basketball on weekend.=you are allowed to play basketball on weekend. you cant go out at night.=you are not allowed to go out at night.t: do your parents allow you choose your own clothes?s: no, they dont.t: i think teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes. so when we express our own opinion, we can use “should be allowed to do” or “should not be allowed to do”.(2) write the sentences on the blackboard. you are allowed to play basketball on weekend.= you should be allowed to play basketball on weekend. you are not allowed to go out at night.= you should be allowed to go out at night.(3) look at the pictures. ask students to change sentences. 1. dont smoke. = teenagers should not to be allowed to smoke. 2. dont have long hair. = boys should not to have long hair.3. dont use the mobile phone.= teenagers should not be allowed to use the mobile phone.(4) do exercise.t: there are some school rules at our school. change the school rules. get to school before 7:20. dont be late for school. hand in your homework.step iii teach 1a read the statements below. do you agree or disagree?(1)t: when we agree with things, we can say “i think .” when we disagree with things, we can say “i dont think .”picture 1: teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes. i think teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes. i dont think teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes.(2)students finish 1a. then talk with partners about “do you agree or disagree?”(3)ask some students to show their answers.step iv listening (1) ask students to reed the three sentences in 1b. help students understand them.(2) t: next well hear a conversation. the recording will be played twice. for the first time, you should finish the questions.(3) for the second time, you should correct your answers.step v role play (1) let two students read the statements in 1c. recite them.
