8、usicia n and composer whose fame continues to grow more than two cen turies after his death. He was bornin Salzburg, Austria, in 1756. Before theage of four, he had show n great musical tale nt. His father the n decided to let him start tak ing harpsichord less ons. The boy?s reputati on as a musica

9、l tale nt grew fast. At five, he was compos ing music. Form that time on, Mozart was perform ing n con certs and writi ng music. By his early tee ns, he had mastered the pia no, violi n and harpsichord, and was writi ng symph onies and operas. His first major opera was performed in Mila n in 1770, w

10、he n he was only fourtee n. At fiftee n, Mozart became the con ductor for an orchestra inSalzburg. In 1781, he left for Vienna, where he was in great demandas both a performer and a composition teacher. His first opera was a success. But life was not easy because he was a poor bus in essma n, and hi

11、s finances were always in a bad state. His music from the next decade was not very popular, and he eventually fell back on his teaching jobs for a living.In 1788 he stopped performing in public,preferring onlyto compose. He died in 1791 at the age of thirty-five. Although he lived only a short life,

Two sisters, Mildred Hill, a teacher at akin dergarte n, and Dr. Patty Hill,the prin cipal of the same school,wrote a song together for the childre n, en titledGood Morning to All .Whe n Mildredcomb ined her musical tale nts with her sister?sknowledge in the area ofkindergarten education, G

Coleman?s addition of the second part made the song popular and, finally, the sisters ”original first part disappeared. “Happy Birthday to You”

26、had altogether replaced the sisters ? original song “Good Morning to All ”. In 1916 Patty took legal action against Mr. Coleman.
