(P4) 他已經(jīng)學了六年的英語,而且的確很喜歡它。Hes 是 He has 的 縮 寫 。 這 是 一 個 現(xiàn) 在 完 成 進 行 時 態(tài) 的 句 子 , 由 “ 助 動 詞have/has+been+現(xiàn)在分詞”構成,用來表示動作從過去某一時間開始,一直延續(xù)到現(xiàn)在,可能還要延續(xù)下去。請看:Mr Green has been lying in b
12、ed for two weeks.格林先生已經(jīng)臥床兩個星期了。We have been teaching in this school for eight and a half years.我們在這所學校教書已經(jīng)8 年半了。3. She added that having conversations with friends was not helpful at all. (P4) 她補充說,和朋友交談一點幫助都沒有。( 1) add 的常見意思為“增加,添上,加上”。在本句中表示在說完上面的話語后又添加一些話語,是“又說,補充說”的意思。It will add to your trouble
13、s.這將會給你們增添麻煩的。Mr Smith added that he would be back soon.史密斯先生補充說他很快就會回來。( 2) at all 與 not, no, nothing, nobody, nowhere 等表示否定意義的詞連用,用來加強否定意義,表示“完全不,一點兒都不,絲毫不”的意思。He doesntlike swimming at all. 他一點兒都不喜歡游泳。There is nothing in the room at all. 房間里面什么東西都沒有。 not at all 單獨使用時,用來回答對方的感謝或道歉,相當于Thats all rig
14、ht, Yourewelcome 等。但是 ,Youre welcome 主要用于美國英語中,而英國人則多用Not at all 。 Thank you very much for your help. 非常感謝你的幫助! Not at all./That s all right./You re welcome. 別客氣。4. We get excited about something and then end up speaking in Chinese. (P4)有些話題讓我們興奮不已 ,最后干脆說起漢語來。( 1) be/get excited about 意思是“對 感到興奮”,其中
15、 about 后可接名詞、代詞或動詞 -ing 形式。She got excited about it as soon as she heard the good news.她一聽到那個好消息,就變得很興奮。3/14Are you excited about going to Shanghai? 你對去上海感到興奮嗎?類似短語be/get worried about “對 感到擔心”, be amazed at“對 感到驚訝”, be pleased with “對 感到滿意”。(2)excited 表示某人對某物或某事“感到興奮,激動”,主語常為人。We were excited when
16、we saw our team was winning.看到自己的球隊要贏了,我們都十分激動。特別提示exciting 作“令人激動的”,“令人興奮的”解時,常用來修飾物或事。The football match we watched was very exciting.我們觀看的那場足球賽非常激動人心。( 3) end up 意為“達到某狀態(tài)或采取某行動,以 結束或告終”,后面接動詞 -ing 形式。He ended up running a firm. 他最終經(jīng)營了一家公司。類似短語finish up “完成” , eat up“吃光” , burn up“燒光”。5. Maybe you
17、 should join an English language club. (P5)也許你應該參加某個英語俱樂部。(1)maybe 和 may be 雖然寫法相似,意思也相似,但是用法區(qū)別很大。maybe 是副詞,意為“也許,可能”,用作狀語;may be 意為“也許是,可能是”,may 是情態(tài)動詞,與be 一起作謂語。Maybe you put it there. 也許你把它放在那里了。But I m afraid I may be a little late.但恐怕我可能是晚了一點。(2)join 意為“參加,加入”,主要指參加、加入某黨派、團體,成為一員,后面也可跟 us, them,
18、 the young people 等表示一群人的詞或詞組;而 take part in 也意為“參加,加入”,指參加群眾性的活動、會議、考試、競賽等。My brother joined the League two years ago.我的哥哥兩年前就入團了。We are getting ready to take part in the speech contest.我們正準備參加這次演講比賽。6. First of all, it wasn teasy for me to understand the teacher when she talked to the class. (P6)剛
19、開始,當老師和全班學生說話的時候,她的話對我來說很難聽懂。短語 first of all 意為“首先,第一”,在句中作狀語,強調(diào)首要的事情是什么,不一定用于列舉,常用于 first of all., then., at last. ,使說明的層次更清楚。First of all, I must finish my work.首先,我必須完成我的工作。First of all, I want to say that thank you for coming.首先,我想說的是感謝你們的到來。7. To begin with, she spoke too quickly, and I couldnt
20、understand every word. (P6) 剛開始,她講得太快,我不能每個詞都聽懂。本句中的 to begin with 意為“首先 ,第一點(理由)”。We cantgo. To begin with, it s too cold. Besides, we ve no money. 我們不能去。首先是天氣太冷了;再者,我們沒有錢了。 begin with 意為“以 開始”,其后接動詞時應用動詞-ing 形式。The book begins with a story. 這本書是以一個故事開頭。The party began with dancing. 晚會是以舞蹈開頭的。8. La
21、ter on, I realized that it doesntmatter if you don tunderstand every word. (P6) 后來,我4/14意識到即使不理解每個單詞也沒有關系。later on 是由 later 與 on 構成的固定詞組,但在意思和用法上與later 既有相同之處,也有區(qū)別的地方。特別提示later 與 later on 的用法 later 作副詞用,意為“后來”,“以后”,往往以以前或現(xiàn)在的時間或事情為基準,因此,常用于一般過去時或一般將來時。Later he learned how to repair television sets. 后
22、來他學會了修電視機。The radio says the sun will come out later. 廣播說太陽過些時候就會出來。 later 常和一個表示時間的名詞連用,構成“時間段+later ”結構。He came back a week later.一星期后他回來了。魔力糾錯兩天后我再來拜訪。誤: I shall call again two days later.正: I shall call again in two days.魔力解讀“時間段 +later ”不可用于從現(xiàn)在算起的若干時間以后。說“從(現(xiàn)在起) 之后”,應該用“ in+ 時間段”。 later on 作副詞短
23、語使用,也是“后來”,“以后”的意思,有時可與later 互換。That happened later on/later.后來那件事發(fā)生了。 later on 只可單獨使用,不能用于“時間段+later on”結構。9. It helped a lot. (P6) 它很有幫助。在本句中 a lot 用作副詞,表示“非常,相當”,等于very much。Thanks a lot. = Thanks very much. 多謝。He is feeling a lot better today. 他今天感覺好多了。 a lot 還可作“經(jīng)常,常?!苯猓喈斢趏ften 。They use the r
24、ecorder a lot in English class. 在英語課上,他們常用錄音機。 a lot of=lots of ,修飾可數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞,意為“許多”,相當于many 或much。There is a lot of(=lots of) homework to do.有許多作業(yè)要做。魔力糾錯她在穿上沒有花很多錢。誤: She doesntspend a lot of money on dresses.正: She doesntspend much money on dresses.10. I think that doing lots of listening practice
25、 is one of the secrets of becoming a good language learner. (P6) 我認為做大量的聽力練習是成為一個好的語言學習者的秘訣之一。(1)該句是由 that 引導的賓語從句,當主句用一般現(xiàn)在時態(tài)時,從句可以用任意時態(tài);當主句用過去時態(tài)時,從句則要用相應的過去時態(tài)。I hear that Mr Brown has been to Shanghai. 我聽說布朗先生去過上海。He said these answers were right. 他說這些答案是正確的。(2)one of 意為“ ( 中的 ) 一個”,其后接名詞的復數(shù)形式,如有形容
26、詞修飾名詞時,形容詞要用最高級。Mr Wang is one of the most popular teachers in our school.王老師是我們學校最受歡迎的老師之一。5/1411. How do we deal with our problems? (P8) 我們怎樣處理我們的問題?本句中的 deal with 意為“處理,解決”,相當于do with ,其主語通常是人或物。I have many problems to deal with. 我有許多問題要解決。 deal with 作“與 打交道”,“與 做買賣”解時,主語通常是人、公司、商店等。My elder brot
27、her will deal with you later on.我哥哥以后會來收拾你的。特別提示deal in 有時也可以表示“與 做買賣”,但后面跟具體的商品。This shop deals in computers. 這家商店做電腦買賣。12. Most of us have probably been angry with our friends, parents or teachers. (P8) 我們中的大部分人可能都生過我們的朋友、父母或老師的氣。本句中的 be angry with 意為“對某人生氣”,后面常跟人作賓語;當表示生氣的原因時,可以加上 for doing sth 。
28、He was angry with me for not having done anything.我什么也沒有做,他為此很生氣。特別提示be angry at 表示“因某事生氣”,后面接表示言行的名詞、代詞或V.-ing 形式或從句作賓語。He was rather angry at missing the bus. 他因沒有趕上公共汽車而相當生氣。He was angry at what I said. 他對我所說的感到生氣。13. Time goes by, and good friendships may be lost. (P8) 時間流逝,良好的友誼可能也就隨之逝去了。(1)go
29、by 是不及物動詞短語,意為“走過”,“(時間)消逝,流逝”。Two weeks went by. 兩周過去了。(2)lost 是 lose 的過去分詞。 lose 意為“丟失,失去”時,語氣較強,一般指失去不易找回。The man lost a leg in the war. 那個人在戰(zhàn)爭中失去了一條腿。知識拓展miss 意為“丟失,失去”時,指東西或人丟失了,但有找到的希望。She missed her child in the street. 她在街上把孩子丟了。 miss 可以表示“想念”的意思,而lose 則不能。We shall all miss you when you are
30、away. 你不在時我們都會想念你的。特別提示作定語或表語時,lose 用過去分詞形式,miss 用現(xiàn)在分詞形式。Who has found my lost pen? 誰找到了我丟失的鋼筆?They set out to look for the missing girl at once.五 . 語法1. 提建議的句子:6/142.aloud, loud 與 loudly 的用法三個詞都與“大聲”或“響亮”有關。aloud 是副詞 ,重點在出聲能讓人聽見,但聲音不一定很大,常用在讀書或說話上。通常放在動詞之后。aloud 沒有比較級形式。如 : He read the story aloud
31、to his son.他朗讀那篇故事給他兒子聽。 loud 可作形容詞或副詞。用作副詞時,常與 speak, talk,laugh 等動詞連用 ,多用于比較級,須放在動詞之后。如:She told us to speak a little louder. 她讓我們說大聲一點。 loudly 是副詞 ,與 loud 同義 ,有時兩者可替換使用,但往往含有令人討厭或打擾別人的意思,可位于動詞之前或之后。如:He does not talk loudly or laugh loudly in public.他不當眾大聲說笑。3.4. one of +(the+ 形容詞比較級 )+名詞復數(shù)形式 其中之
32、一如: She is one of the most popular teachers.她是最受歡迎的教師之一。5. It s +形容詞 +(for sb. ) to do sth. ( 對于某人來說)做某事如: Its difficult (for me ) to study English.對于我來說學習英語太難了。句中的 it 是形式主語,真正的主語是to study English6. unless 假如不,除非 引導條件狀語從句如: You will fail unless you work hard.假如你不努力你會失敗。I won twrite unless he writes
