Time: 40 minutesTeaching Procedures:I . Warming up ( 12 mins )Step 1:Lead in T: Class begins. Good morning, boys and g

3、irls. ( Ss respond )T: I am glad to see you all. First of all , let me introduce myself. My name is Amanda. ( Write on the blackboard.) I hope well study happily together in the following weeks. Now, would you tell me what you will do when you meet your friends. ( Ss respond )T: Yeah, say “Hi” or “H

4、ello”You greet each other. T: And do you like watching news on TV? ( Ss respond ) Good. When leaders of different countries meet each other , what would they usually do? Have you noticed that? 5、nners ).Good manners, thats our topic in Unit6.( Write on the blackboard )Step 2 . Have a discussion and make a list.T: I believe all of you have good manners. But in the daily life, some haveright, bad manners. ( Write on the blackboard ) Well, now please think of your own behaviors or those of the

6、 people around you. Then discuss with your partner and make a list of some good manners and bad manners. (Ss discuss and list )T: OK, please stop discussing. Anyone who would like to share with us what they have listed? ( Ss show )T: Thank you! Those really exist. It seems you watch carefully in you

7、r daily life. Ok, please turn to Page 42, here are some good manners for you to keep in mind. Please remember these tips. Especially dont laugh at, stare at or make jokes about disabled people .Because your stare will make them feel uneasy ,while your jokes will hurt them .Step3: Talk about some pic

8、tures in the text on Page 36.T: Now, turn to Page 36. Please look at the four pictures. What are they about? ( Ss respond ) Right, they are about making apologies. Do you know“apology”? Well, its the noun form of apologise ( BE )or apologize ( AE ). When we do something wrong or trouble others, we s

9、hould make apologies to others for our behavior. ( Write on the blackboard ) But how to? Yeah, we can say “Excuse me”T: Ok, I think you know how to complete the dialogues in the text. Any pair who would like to read out the dialogues? Or if you like, you can make longer dialogues according to the pi

Now turn to Page 116,read the first situation and discuss it. First, four students form a group, each group should have a leader. Its the leaders
