27、l was built along the river in case of floods2) You should keep a first-aid kit in the car in case of accidentIn case of fire, call 119.You had better carry some money in case.3) 萬一有火災(zāi),就撥 119。4) 你最好帶點(diǎn)錢,以防萬一。Grammar and usage 倒裝句(Inversion)full英語句子通常有兩種語序:一種是陳述語序,一種是倒裝語序。將謂語的一部分或全部置于主語之 前的語序叫做倒裝語序。而倒
28、裝可分為二種:將整個(gè)謂語提到主語之前的叫完全倒裝(in version );而只將be、情態(tài)動詞或者助動詞放在主語之前的叫做部分倒裝( partial in version )。 倒裝的原因,一是語法結(jié)構(gòu)的需要,二是為了強(qiáng)調(diào)。一、完全倒裝句:實(shí)意動詞+主語1.副詞+謂語+主語在here, there, now, then, out, in, up, down, away, off等副詞開頭的句子里,用來表示強(qiáng)調(diào)。 There goes the bell.Now comes your tur n.Out rushed the boy.注意:如果主語為代詞,則不需要倒裝。In he came an
29、d back he went aga in.Here you are. Away he went.2. There be +主語+地點(diǎn)。其中動詞 be也可以是其他詞,如lie, sta nd等。There are many differe nt kinds of moon cakes on the table .There in Greece lived a famous thin ker , n amed Aristotle .3. 介詞短語+謂語+主語 A girl stood in front of the house. = In front of the house stood a g

On the top of the mountain stood an old temple.4. 表語置于句首,強(qiáng)調(diào)表語,或保持句子平衡。(形容詞、副詞、ed分詞、ing分詞、介詞)+be+主語Prese nt at the meeti ng was Professor Li.Faste ned to the pole was the n atio nal flag.Hanging on the wall was a splen did painting.Below are some of the major causes of road accide nts.二、部分倒裝句:助動
31、詞/情態(tài)動詞+主語+實(shí)意動詞即一般疑問句的語序1. Oniy +狀語位于句首時(shí),或often置于句首時(shí)。Only the n did I realize that I was wrong.Only in this way can you lear n from your frien ds.Only whe n the war was over in 1949 was he able to get back home. *Only his sister kn ows this. (on ly +主語置于句首時(shí)不倒裝)Only the boy can work out the p roblem.O
32、fte n did we warn them not to do it.2. hardly, never, not, not only, little, few, seldom, scarcely, rarely, by no means, at no time, not until, no where, in no case 等否定詞(短語)位于句首時(shí)。常見句型有 No sooner (倒裝部分) thanHardly /scarcely(倒裝部分) when-Not only (倒裝部分)but alsoNot until(倒裝部分)Never shall I forget it.Not

(強(qiáng)調(diào)句)Not un til he came to the classroom did he know what had happen ed.(倒裝句)3. so + adj.that中的so或 suchthat中的such位于句首時(shí)。 It was such an
35、in teresti ng film that they were all moved.Such an in teresti ng film was it that they were all moved.He sp oke so loudly that people in the n ext room could hear him.So loudly did he sp eak that people in the n ext room could hear him.(形容詞,副詞,分詞,實(shí)義動詞提前)。此4.,as / though引導(dǎo)的讓步從句必須將表語或狀語提前 時(shí)應(yīng)注意句首名詞不能帶

(so 表示"的確” )-Kate has made p rogress in En glish.-So she has and so have you.(她的確是而你
38、也是。)表示兩種情況適用于另一人,用So it is with或It is the same withHe is a good cook at home and takes good care of the childre n, and so it is with his wife. ( It is the same with his wife.)He likes playing and doesn 'like to study. So it is with his sister. (It is the same with his sister.),用6. neither / nor位
