10、f DecisionsD-1/21E-1/3CHAPTER 1GENERALAIM1.The aim of the training resulting from this Qualification Standard (QS) is designed to prepare selected Infantry Corporals to develop leadership skills and tactical knowledge required prior to their appointment as a Section Second in Command.OUTLINE OF TRAI

11、NING2.Commanders require personnel who possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the many tasks required to lead an Infantry Section. 3.This QS builds upon the PLQ-Land (AINS). The performance requirements for Small Party Tasks (PLQ-Land Mod 6 Part 1) along with Offensive Operations, Def

12、ensive Operations and Patrolling (PLQ Land Mod 6 Part 2) will be covered by the training that results from this QS.4.This QS contains:a.the Performance /Eductional Objectives (POs/EdOs) that the member shall achieve; and b.the requirements needed to support the attainment of these objectives. DEFINI

13、TIONS5.For the purpose of training, the following definitions apply:a.Residence: an instructor delivers required training to students. The training may be delivered at a Unit, Brigade, Area, and Army training centre or other external agencies as appropriate. The training may be conducted on evenings

14、, weekends and/or during 11 consecutive training events;b.Distributed Learning: a structured learning environment, with appropriate courseware made available, that is provided anywhere, any time without the presence of the instructor;c.Module: one or more Performance/Education Objectives grouped tog

15、ether to form a single course and assigned an ITMIS code for the purpose of tracking and eventual granting of a qualification;d.Modularization: the process of analysing and grouping Performance/Education Objectives to form modules so that a course may be delivered in discrete stages over a period of

16、 time;e.Essential: tasks and knowledge required by Army Reservists to perform their occupational duties on Class A service or on Domestic operations. Resource limitations must be considered in the determination of Essential training;f.Supplemental: tasks and knowledge not essential for Class A servi

17、ce, specific components of which may be required by a Reservist to perform occupational duties when employed full time. These components will form the basis of training that may be required before commencing full time employment (ie: Delta training). Units that conduct sanctioned training based on t

18、hese POs will be able to grant qualifications to Reservists; andg.Residual: tasks and knowledge not included in Essential or Supplemental training, that may be required by a Reservist only on component transfer to the Regular Force. Units that conduct sanctioned training based on these POs will be a

19、ble to grant qualifications to Reservists.TRAINING STRATEGY6.The training requirement may be achieved through formal training conducted at the ATCs.USE OF QUALIFICATION STANDARD7.This QS shall be used as the primary authority governing the design, conduct, evaluation and validation of the training p

20、rogramme.8.This QS shall be used in conjunction with the applicable occupational specification for the purpose of producing the Training Plan.9.Suggestions for changes shall be forwarded through the chain of command to Land Force Doctrine and Training System, Attention: Director of Army Training.CHA

21、PTER 2TRAINING MANAGEMENT DETAILSRESPONSIBLE AGENCIES AND TRAINING ESTABLISHMENTS1.Agencies include:a.Managing Agency: LFDTS HQ for CLS;b.Centre of Excellence: Infantry School Gagetown;c.Training Establishment: Area Training Centres;d.Selecting Agency: CTCHQ; ande.Loading Agency: Respective Units.SC

22、HEDULING2.Training will be scheduled by CTC HQ to meet the training requirements of the Chief of Land Staff (CLS). For the Regular Force, the Directorate Military Human Resource Requirements (DMHRR), Directorate of Land Personnel (DLP) and Career Managers determine personnel requirements, including

23、projected occupational training during the Annual Military Occupation Review (AMOR). The training requirements identified during the AMOR are then scheduled by CTC HQ at the Annual Individual Training Conference (AITC).3.CTCHQ will schedule Reserve Training.PREREQUISITES4.The prerequisites for atten

24、ding the training required for this qualification are as follows:a.DP 2 Infantry Platoon Support Weapons (Reg Force AJBA, P Res AJAZ);b.DP 2 - Primary Leadership Qualification-Land Mod 5; andc.possess a minimum medical category of V3, CV3, H3, G2, O2, and A5.TRAINING DURATION5.Regular Force. This tr

25、aining should require a maximum of 44 training days, to include administration time.Primary Reserve Force. The training should require a maximum of 44 training days, or delivered in 4 Mods as follows:Mod 1 PLQ (L) Mod 6 Part 1Mod 2 Control Direct/indirect fire/Offensive Ops;Mod 3 Patrolling/EdOs and

26、Mod 4 Defensive Ops/Unique and Trans OpsLANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION7.This course will be available in both official languages (CFAO 9-53 also refers.)REGULAR FORCE QUALIFICATION8.Successful completion of the training based on this QS will result in the awarding of the following qualifications:PLQ Land M

27、od 1 to Mod 6 Part 1 and POs 208, 209 and 210 = PLQ (AINR) and PLQ-Land AINS and;POs 206, 207, 211, EdOs 201, 202 and 203 Infmn QL5B (AJBB)Primary RESERVE force QUALIFICATION9.Successful completion of the training based on this QS will result in the awarding of the following qualifications:PLQ Land

Pe

30、rformance assessment will be achieved through Performance Checks (PCs). GRADING PROCEDURES2.For this qualification, candidates shall be graded using the table below. Applicable definitions are as follows:a.difficulty the candidate required a retest on a Performance Check.GradeDefinitionAAll POs/EdOs

31、 achieved to an exceptional level, without difficultyBAll POs/EdOs achieved without difficultyCAll POs/EdOs achieved, difficulty was experienced in one or more POs/EdOs.FFailed to achieve one or more POs/EdOs.PROGRESS REVIEW BOARD3.Procedures for a Progress Review Board contained in LFCO 24 8 shall

32、be adhered to. Additionally, the CSO of the training establishment shall be immediately notified and be allowed to witness any PRB resulting from unsatisfactory performance of candidates seeking this qualification.END COURSE REVIEW4.An End Course Review (ECR) shall be held to obtain feedback on lear

33、ning activities, presentation of training program content and administration procedures from the point of view of staff and candidates.COURSE REPORTING5.A Canadian Forces Course Report For 377, shall be prepared and distributed IAW CFAO 26 12. The Course Report shall be descriptive and clearly ident

34、ify the candidates strengths and weaknesses.Performance objective assessment CRITERIA6.The assessment criteria are stipulated in the following Performance Objectives:a.Modular 1 Small Party Tasks: IAW (A-PD-002-PLQ/R-BO1) Mod 6 Part 1 of PLQ Land QSb.PO 206 Control Direct Fire: Assessment of this PO

35、 will be based upon the soldiers ability to effectively control direct fire on to the target area and neutralize the enemy;c.PO 207 Control Indirect Fire: Assessment of this PO will be based upon the soldiers ability to successfully adjust fire on to the target area and effectively neutralize the en

36、emy position;d.PO 208 Conduct Patrolling Operations: Assessment of this PO will be based upon the following:(1)the soldiers ability to effectively command a section/detachment on a Recce Ptl; and/or(2)the soldiers ability to effectively command an element of a fighting patrol in an ambush or a raid.

37、(3)The soldiers must achieve 60% on a written test.e.PO 209 Conduct Dismounted Offensive Operations: Assessment of this PO will be based upon the following:(1)the soldiers ability to effectively lead a section by employing tactics and procedures during the advance to contact, ending in a Section Att

Annex A to this QS provides a list of Main References applicable to the POs in this chapter.2.The POs describe the on job performance of only those elements that require training. They do not represent a full job description. T
