Dear friends, walking to the west from the Laya Waterfall, we come to the 68-level Waterfall, which is hailed as “Bosom Friend Valley” by literati.

The 68-level Waterfall is concentrated in the 3-km-long narrow valley on the upstream of the Hanbi Pool, with a fall reaching 40m. More rarely, this river section actually natually forms 68 levels of well-spaced waterfalls in different scales. Splashing flow unfold

、 in the Chinese history. Therefore, previous literati gave it an elegant name, “Bosom Friends Valley”. The Bosom Friends Valley not only boasts graceful scenery, but also is a paradise for giant salamanders. When

、the night falls, giant salamanders will emerge from the river to appreciate the moonlight and the music of waterfalls. Because the source of the 68-level Waterfall is underground springs, it keeps constant temperature all year round, while giant salamanders love to inhabit such homothermal rivers.

Maybe some will ask, “Does this waterfall group really have 68 levels?” Well, we just have to go to find the answer in person.

There are said to be two reasons why its called “68-level Waterfall”. One is that it is really rare that in such a narrow valley there are such a number of

、waterfalls. In fact there are more than 68 waterfalls here, yet according to the local peoples tradition, 6 and 8 are lucky numbers, so they named it “68-level Waterfall”, hoping to gain good harvest, health and safety. The other saying is that when you walk up the narrow valley, you will see differ

In fact, this waterfall group offers you much more to see than 68 views. Dear friends, now lets go to personaly delight in the beaut

The Ming poet Yuan Hongdao once said, “In frost and snow it shows different charm; the iron body and tough skin grow from young”, which is a perfect portrayal of it.
