1、whereas的用法whereas是附屬連詞，顧名思義，它引導(dǎo)一個從句，修飾主句，用來比擬或比照兩個事 實(shí)，意為“然而，但是，盡管”，此時它的用法跟although或while的用法一樣。一、Whereas作連詞l.Whereas作連詞時，一般引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，當(dāng)置于句首時，需要用逗號與主句隔開, 例如：He loves foreign holidays, whereas his wife prefers to stay at home.他喜歡在國外度假，但是他的妻子那么喜歡呆在家里。我的姐妹都是醫(yī)生，而我是老師。我父母都上過大學(xué)，而我只完成了高中學(xué)業(yè)。Whereas I am a veget

9、the office.（錯誤）.詞義辨析：but, however, still, yet, nevertheless, while, whereas這些連詞或副詞均含“但是，可是，然而，而”之意。but 口語常用詞，語氣較強(qiáng)，泛指 與前述情況相反。however表轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系，語氣稍弱于but,連接性也弱一些，因而常作插入 語。still語氣強(qiáng)，多用于肯定句或疑問句。指盡管做出讓步，采取措施或表示反對，但情況 仍然如故，無所改變。yet常用于否認(rèn)句，語氣比still稍強(qiáng)。指不管做出多大努力或讓步, 仍達(dá)不到預(yù)期的結(jié)果。nevertheless指盡管做出完全讓步，也不會發(fā)生任何影響。while表
