Common Dream Themes Every night, all over the world, sleepers are dreaming variations of some same dreams. The details differ, of course, but the same themes recur in every culture, as they have throug

2、hout recorded history.“Im Naked!” Dreaming that you are completely or partially naked is very common. Nudity symbolizes a variety of things depending on your real life situation. You may be hiding something and are afraid that others can see right through you. Nudity also symbolizes being caught off

Finding yourself naked at work or in a classroom, suggests that you are unprepared for a project at work or school.“Im Being Chased” In these dreams, you can be pursued by an attacker, an animal or an unknown figure, who wants to hurt or possibly kill you. In turn, you run, hide or try to ou

4、twit your pursuer. Your actions in the dream parallel how you respond to pressure and cope with fears, stress or various situations in your waking life. Instead of confronting the situation, you are running away and avoiding it.“My Teeth Are Falling!” Dreams that your teeth are falling out are commo

5、n. One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth play an important role in conveying that image.“Im Flying!” Flying dreams fall under a category of dreams

As with most common dream themes, falling is an indication of insecurities, instabilities, and anxieties. You are feeling overwhelmed and out of control in some situation in your waking life. Th

When a person has troubles in the life and wants guidance from god, he used to sleep in a temple. He would get a dream during that night. When he wakes up, he takes the help of a priest to get

12、his dream interpreted. Romans had strong views on dreams. They believed dreams were messages from the gods. Emperor Augustus ruled that anyone who had a dream about the country must proclaim it in the market place. In recent times, Sigmund Freud, in his book The Interpretation of Dreams writes that

13、the experiences and suppressed desires of a person during waking hours are stored in his subconscious mind. 3. Different Ways to Realize Dream As we all know, because of different cultures, there are different ways for us to realize our dreams. In China, people believe in collectivism, they are over

14、cautious, believing in relationships and paying homage to heaven and earth, as well as bearing a remembrance to the homeland. The culture is based on humanism and people and expands internally rather than outwards. Because of the influence of Confucianism, we Chinese chasing dream stress benevolence

15、, loyalty to the state, filial piety, righteousness and rites. Americans advocate individual freedom and self-reliance, equality of opportunity and competition, material wealth and hard work. These three pairs are their basic values. Americans usually less like depend on others, or even parents help also is not willing to accept, and parents also encourage children left home early in life and development, independently.
