Introduction

Withtherapiddevelopmentofeconomyandtechnology,themobilephoneindustryhaschangeddramaticallyandgeneratedthesmartphone.Theadventofsmartphoneshasdramaticallychangedthewaytraditionalcommunicationsandsocialcontact.Nowadays,smartphonesareusedwidelyandtheyarepopularamongyoungpeople.Oneofthemostsignificantsubjectsfordebatecurrentlytakingplaceistheexplosionintheuseofsocialnetworkingbycollegestudents.Thereasonforthisisthatsmartphoneshaveenteredcollegecampusesandbeenusedwidelybycollegestudents.AsurveyconductedbyIndianstudentsatBallStateUniversityfoundthatthenumberofstudentswhoownasmartphonehasmorethandoubledinthreeyears-from27%in2009to69%in2012(Hingorani&Woodard,2012).Thisnumberisexpectedtokeepongrowinginthecomingyears(AbirS.Al-Harrasi&AliH.Al-Badi,2014).

Nowadayssmartphoneshaveseveralfeaturesthatarecomparabletoanaveragecomputer.Theycanalsoengagestudentsinfarmoredynamicwaysthanalaptoporatabletcomputer(Hingorani&Woodard,2012).PeoplecanusephonestosurftheInternet,listentomusic,watchvideos,playgamesonline,updatetheirpersonalmicroblog,anduploadtheirlatestpicturesatanyplaceandanytime.Itseemsthatsmartphoneshavealreadybecomeanindispensablepartinstudents’dailylife.Usingofsmartphoneshasalotofimpactsoncollegestudentsinmanyaspects,andtheseeffectsarebothgoodandbad.Theinfluenceofsmartphonesoncollegestudentsismainlyreflectedinnetworking,physicalandmentalhealth,learningandteachingofuniversity.Theseeffectswillleadtomanyseriousresultsintheircampuslife.

Manystudieshavebeencarriedouttoinvestigatetheimpactofsmartphonesoncollegestudents.Althoughtheliteraturecoversawidevarietyofsuchstudies,thisstudywillfocusonsingleaspect,suchassocialnetworkingandtheirlearning.Thispaperwillfocusonmanyaspectsinwhichcollegestudentsareinfluencedandanalyzehowdoesitaffectsthemandatthesametimeanalyzeits positivityandnegativity.Therehasbeenalotoftragedyaboutsmartphonesinsocietyandcampus.Thepurposeofthispaperistohopethattheuseofsmartphonesoncampuswillattractmoreattention.

Inthisageofinformationexplosion，TheInternetisthemostimportantmeansofacquiringknowledge.Therefore,thesmartphoneisoneoftheimportanttoolsforpeopletolearn,especiallyforcollegestudents.Theycanusesmartphonestodownloadapplicationsoftwaretolearnmuchknowledgethattheywant.ThesoftwaresuchasmemorizingwordandeBooks,makesstudentscompletelygetridofthetroublewithbooks.Atthesametime,withthehelpofinternet,studentscanbemoreconvenientaccesstoknowledgeandinformation.Forexample,studentscanusemobilephonereadinge-books,andcanuseelectronicdictionarytolearn.Wecansaythatsmartphoneshelpstudentsaccumulateknowledgeanytimeandanywhere.

Asweallknow,cellphonescandogreatharmtopeople,especiallysmartphones.Accordingtoresearch,theradiationofthesmartphoneisharmfultothehumanbody(Sunjing&Weizuoyu2017).Inaddition,theuseofcellphonesforalongtimecancausegreatharmtopeople'seyes.Thisisoneofthereasonswhymanycollegestudentswearglassesnowadays.Smartphoneshaveexacerbatedstudents'comparisonmentality,leadingtotheprevalenceofonlinefraud.Thesurvey,"doyouthinkstudentswillcomparephonesformobilephones?”whichwasinvestigated,andhalfofthestudentsbelievedthatthecomparisonmentalityexists(Shaozhihuai2016).

Teachingincollegeinfluence

Manycollegestudentsplaytheirmobile phonesinclass,leadingto thefailureofnormalteaching,whichisreflectedbymanyteachersincollegesanduniversities.Thisbehaviorseriouslyaffectsclassroomorderandteachingenvironment(Liuyang2014).

Throughtheonlinesurvey,itwasanalysedtoinvestigatethetrendsofthecollegestudentswithregardtotheuseoftheirsmartphoneswhiletheyareatcollege.

Collegestudents‘mainpurposeofusingsmartphonesiscommunicationandentertainment.Andfewofstudentswarryabouttheirsecurityofinformation.Manycollegestudentsthinkthattheadvantagesofcellphonesoutweighthedisadvantages

Conclusion

Smartphonesareintegratedintoeveryaspectofourcollegestudents'lives.Collegestudentsshouldbeawareoftheroleofmobilephonesthatitjustatool.Theuseofsmartphoneshasbothadvantagesanddisadvantages,anduniversitystudentsshouldidentifyit.
